I'm pretty sure that's dried blood on white clothes.
He looks white there too, though half Native-american may fit as well.
An entire world full of extremely interesting and creative history they could have used, and they had to pick the American Revolution. I think I'll pass.
No matter how much you might dislike America, the American revolution may have been one of the most influential historical events of the last three hundred years, and it's themes of liberty and anti-establishmentarianism fit in exactly with AC's storyline.
And... really? They could have used more "creative" history?
American Revolution or not, who the fuck cares it's AC3. AC 1 and 2 were fucking awesome. (never played the other two)
The Brits better not be Templars.

Abe was assasinated by a templar for [sp]a peice of eden[/sp]
I don't get the outfits. One would assume that ancient assassins would use inconspicious, stealthy clothing. Not flashy, stark-white disco suits.
Beating a dead horse.
How long ago was Revelations?

Plot spoiler:
[sp]The suit actually gives them the power to make guards not give a fuck after they sit down on a bench, lay in a hay barrel, or hide in a very obvious and otherwise useless kiosk.[/sp]
Aw man, America again? So many games about America already, even the BioShock Infinite I'm looking forward to. I don't doubt the devs can make it awesome regardless of topic, but I was really enjoying the change of tapestry from the usual backgrounds for games and movies.

AC:B and AC:R were beating a dead horse, so the devs needed to come up with something new and fun while stalling the plot, but a new time period allows for new inventions and a new setting.

Hardly. The teams that work on these games are absolutely giant.
In addition, the way that bigger developers produce games involves having the concept/writing staff working on the next game before the previous game has finished development. That way, teams can efficiently move from project to project. Every asscreed so far has been an excellent example of game design, and there is no reason to think that this one will be any different - especially now that they've more or less perfected the process.

This was in development for 3 years. Brotherhood and Revelations are more like expansion to the 2nd game.

This.
Brotherhood was made because the team wanted to flesh out/had already made parts of the Rome map for AC2, but only used a tiny fraction of it in that game. They felt they could do more and do it better than a as a simple DLC pack for 2. Revelations is what the DS (3DS?) AC game, Lost Legacy, would have been if that project hadn't faltered and collapsed in on itself. Luckily Ubisoft managed to salvage enough from the Lost Legacy project (voices, story, and general level design mostly) and put together Revelations.
Anyways, this is pretty awesome. While I'm still excited for AC3, I'm a bit disappointed it won't be taking place during the French Revolution or in China and/or Japan (see Embers).
I dunno it could have been alot more than this.
Edit: Like every game previously in some interesting and exotic location is set in america now. Hitman and Syndicate (there were many different parts of the world in the original) for example.
Wait what?
Wasn't this series supposed to be a trilogy?

That's rather ignorant. Brotherhood and Revelations were just side expansions while they were working on the third game.

I find it funny how they put him into a really famous painting and it doesn't really fit at all
there's no confirmation that any of this is even real btw, i can't find any at least

I thought the original plot of the games was that you would play a different assassin in a different period of time in each game? I don't know why they milked Ezio so much, I was sick of him after his second game.
A Native American fighting for the American rebels against the British?
Well it could be either side considering Natives fought on both sides, but given the flag I'll guess he supports the rebels.
I demand a Kentucky Long Rifle.... If this is true in any shape or form I can see the Battle of Saratoga making an appearance. (Loads n' loads of snipers were used in Saratoga.)
what's the bets Benedict Arnold is going to be a giant asshat templar
I'm okay with this. I'm just glad we have a new protagonist. Ezio was awesome, but it's time to move on.

They probably just realized that they couldn't wrap up his story in one game so it was just like "shit we can't finish his story now, let's make another game".
Native American assassin?
I'm ok with this.
I'm hoping for some Rifle Bayonet combat. The idea of disarming a guy then stabbing the guy next to him with his bayonet is badass.
An American Indian Assassin with all sorts of cool weapons? I like where this is going.

i knew he was hiding something under that hat
Five bucks says that Jefferson will basically be this games da Vinci. I mean, the guy invented the fucking office chair.
The are probably going to also do the Ezio thing with him doing everything in this era. Since he could be alive from like 1750 ish to around 1830.
