edit: wow holy shit ninjad
Aw man, America again? So many games about America already, even the BioShock Infinite I'm looking forward to. I don't doubt the devs can make it awesome regardless of topic, but I was really enjoying the change of tapestry from the usual backgrounds for games and movies.

AC:B and AC:R were beating a dead horse, so the devs needed to come up with something new and fun while stalling the plot, but a new time period allows for new inventions and a new setting.
Fucking agree! We don't wanna see a game set in america, atleast not yet. Would have been fine if they made one in europe first.
Wasn't there a picture leaked from the Ubisoft offices of an artwork of an Assassin during the American Revolution period ages ago?
If I'm right, I'd guess they've been set on the American setting for a while now.
I'd really like to see other Assassins, instead of just the one or people who are just helping them. They seemed like a well structured group in the first game, but after that they seemed to just become a few random people (Except for in Revelations but even then it didn't feel like an Order).
Probably going to have Nathan Hale. Extremely predictable.
I'm happy with this, I wanted to see it set in the American Revolution, it's one of my favorite eras in history.
Though I will surely miss Ezio, I loved him.
Tomahawk time?
What if you assassinate Abe Lincoln in the end.
The shitstorm could be immense.

Abe Lincoln was the Civil War.

Uhm, Italy is in Europe.
God damn it I thought George Washington was a Templar? That was in one of the glyphs in AC2 I think. They better not change just so they can have 'MURRICA IS THE GREATEST' at the end.

Maybe there are Templars on both sides?
[editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Remember the Templars don't have strict 'sides' they join with who can help them achieve their goals
I just noticed his Tomahawk (I'm assuming that is one) is in the shape of the Assassin logo.
this is going to be good
I love native American protagonists. Turok and Prey come to mind. ACIII is going to be so badass. I really don't want to put time in to play Revelations, though. Will I need to? I've played up to Brotherhood but I assume AC and ACII are all that's needed.
Edit: Now that I think about it they'll just do a shitty cutscene explaining everything.

That's what I said before, just not him specifically. Tons of the founding fathers were masons and I can see them just going ahead and saying that they were templars. The only thing is, I'm not sure how most of them died but I don't think they were assassinated. So it will be interesting to see how they treat the actual history.
Why have there been no games set in victorian london? Spring-heeled jack is a myth that is just dying to be explained by assassins.

It's interesting to see how Ezio and Altair spend the rest of their lives. I don't think any of that will be of importance to three's story. My guess is that Desmond's story is what you'll need to catch up on.
With all these pictures of snow I'm wondering if they're going to include some historical battles, like the battlle of Trenton.

Yeah, but I really doubt a collection of herpes-infested prostitutes were master assassins.
It'd be interesting to see a game set there, but the whole Jack the Ripper thing just sounds like a pit-fall.
