MW2 or Black op's
I don't see what's wrong with Call of Duty to some people - the developers are just remaking it because you - the public are buying them. By the mass buying spree every time a game is released you're sending off signals to them that you're liking what you're playing, and you'd like to see more of it. Then when the new game is released, it's more of the same. Everybody then complains because that's not what they wanted at all. But it's their own fault, because they bought the game that they knew was a rehash of the game they didn't want to play. So stop complaining, and don't buy Call of Duty, then you wouldn't have to hate on it, and maybe the developers could change the overall gameplay. They might not, as there are people (myself included) that actually like the gameplay of Call of Duty, but they might get the message that people don't like how it's a rehash if people don't actually buy it, instead of contributing to it's record breaking sales. /rant. Also - it would have to be Just Cause 2.
-Call of duty MW2 and Black Ops. -GTAIV -The Sims 3 -Left 4 dead 2 These games moved just on the hype they generated.
Starcraft II
CoD MW2 and BO. Just Cause 2 Fallout 3 and NV. Sure, I love them and they're amazing, but they're overrated as well.
I will reopen healed scars. NSFW warning you might lose your personality. [img_thumb]http://www.deviantart.com/download/92206881/My_Custom_Spore_Cover_by_mason4300.jpg[/img_thumb]
I bought the collectors edition if that piece of shit.
Octodad
Who the fuck uses the word "terribad"? also GTAIV.
There seems to be an overwhelming backlash of people saying 'san andreas was way better', when it honestly isn't. Therefore I put forward San Andreas.

I personally thought that Batman: Arkham Asylum was overrated.
Team Fortress 2, in my personal opinion. Oh, and World Of Warcraft. The most tedious fucking game I've ever played.
Half Life 2 never seemed that amazing to me, don't know why it was worshiped.
Half Life 2 never seemed that amazing to me, don't know why it was worshiped.
I thought it was OK. I agree with you there.
There seems to be an overwhelming backlash of people saying 'san andreas was way better', when it honestly isn't. Therefore I put forward San Andreas.
Vice City is my favorite, GTA3 is a close 2nd though.

Not a game, but the mod 1887, for HL2, was certainly overrated. It lacked a lot of polishing and required more beta testing.
I bet you guys would have trouble saying what isn't overrated. Everything is, in someone's eyes. Personally, I think that TESIV along with Fallout 3/NV are really overrated, but other people say STALKER is overrated by PC elitists, and they say those games suck because they're multiplatform, etc. It's all based on perspective n stuff.
I think CoD is way more overrated than Halo, at least in Halo there's a lot more variety of things from maps to weapons and vehicles. so yeah CoD MW/MW2/Black Ops are all overrated games.

Gta IV got a lot of 10/10 in reviews, it sure deserves a 9 but giving it a 10 was overkill
Modern shooters.
I have yet to play a game that deserves a 10.
People keep saying the Call of Duty games never bring something new to the games and games have never been like this before oh man. I have only one thing to say to you. Mega Man
Spore Was really looking foward to it, brought it on the day it came out and haven't played it since. World of Warcraft I can see WHY this is so popular, but it is still extremely repetitive and has little to do that doesn't involve combat. Mario games.
MW2 was perceived to be incredible because of its Predecessor, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. That game was fantastic and, surprisingly, brought a fun and exhilarating, and somewhat believable modern conflict to the world. However because of its popularity, the vision of MW2 was that of insurmountable proportions, which acted like a curtain that shielded the game from any negativity brought on by those who could see through it and would deny the ability to show the world how terrible it truly was.
