I'd rather shut the fuck up than post shitposts
EvE is literally one of the worst MMOs to come out in the past 10 years, a game based around watching the computer play the game for you and setting timers is hardly the pinnacle of gaming. deal w/ it
WoW is great for instant gratification. I can log on for an hour, maybe two and leave with some kind of improvement to one of my characters. It very easily and quickly gives you a sense of achievement. EVE online, is the other end of the spectrum. Everything takes time, but is ultimately more interesting. You've got to have the time to spare to play EVE, but it is extremely gratifying if you do. The PvP is like no other. Just, watch out for the learning curve. Never fly what you can't afford to completely replace. Haven't played the other two, so I have no opinions about them. Also, trolls vs. trolls vs. trolls.
Very well put. The instant gratification system does help people feel like they're achieving something when they're online with achievements as well as it's growing playerbase so if you go out looking you can definately find people that you like to group up with & join their guild. Eve is definately a time consuming game both in/out of game. Sure it takes real time to advance your character's skills but the time is meant for you to learn parts of the game. There is so much depth to the game it's really breathtaking once you have time to look into it. So I personaly view Eve as a game for those with time to spare to sit down and think about the game/understand it. Wow is easier to log on & simply enjoy which is where Blizzard scores with it's simplicity in depth as well as graphics so that it's open to a wide playerbase. Eve's graphics are perhaps the best of the MMOs out there but every MMO can only really focus on pvp or pve...it's just hard/impossible to have both good and functional. War is good w/ it's pvp just a small playerbase. Lotro:pve I myself have only seen others play Age of Conan but it seemed like the pvp wasn't balanced but the graphics looked decent.
World of Warcraft's not only has good PvP and PvE and has a big community adding on to the fun. Warhammer was good didn't really get into it enough to PvP. Never played LOTR.
