I have my account back
Can you post what Valve had replied to your support email?
I contacted the bank. They still refuse to give Valve their money. :smithicide: I don't care about my games, what I really care about is my steam friends.
Hope you all get your acc back soon. :frown: I'm too scared to accept gifts now.
Hello John, Thank you for your confirmation. We've unlocked the account and made a note for future reference. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
thx valve
Usually, it works by proving that you're the account holder. That can be done by giving them the "proof of purchase" (the confirmation code you recieved?) Worked for me back in '06 anyway.
even mine and a friends have been disabled, i've spent a fuckton on games and shit lately so i can only assume it's flagged something
Yeah, it seems that Valve disables accounts that has been spending way too much money, to prevent hackers from using your credit card. This has also just happened to me this morning (It's 21:50 now and I sent the support ticket this morning at 8:30 or so), yet I haven't got an answer from them yet. And I'm not sure if it applies to me about using too much money, but I hope that is the problem. I really want my account back.

I think it'd have to be quite a lot to get disabled on the spot.
How much money have you spent? I think it'd have to be quite a lot to get disabled on the spot.
Trust me, much. But it was 5 days ago I made my last purchase. So I don't know why now
Can you post what Valve had replied to your support email?
Hello, A staff member has replied to your question: Hello ********, This account has been disabled as a gift subscription that you recently accepted in your account has been reported as fraudulent. The subscription has been removed. We will make an exception and reactivate the account this time only. Please refrain from accepting Steam gifts from unknown sources in the future. Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to the appropriate authorities if such activity continues. I lost all my team fortress 2 items also. :crying:
uhh hey guys here with another report on my account's status
That guy doesn't even read what the fuck I say :colbert:
Valve can seriously go fuck themselves. They haven't shown anything interesting in the past year besides the Christmas line up of TF2 acts and ingame stores! And let's not forget the 50 Portal 2 videos! I don't even trust them as a consumer. This is the third thread I've seen on false bannings in the past few weeks. Just another good developer that has fallen to greed in my book. I hope you all get your accounts back. It's a real pain, especially when dealing with scripted answers. I know people who own over 100+ games. Over a couple thousand worth infact. How can Valve just ban someone like that and lock them out of their entire media library? Sickens me. Good luck to the OP and all of you guys posting your stories. I've gotten banned once before and fortunately got it lifted since it was a SURPRISE! Mistake.

Mistake.
Valve's platform has more than 2 million actives users AT ALL TIMES. Total number of registered users surpasses by a tenfold. That some users haven't got their account problems fixed yet, isn't really that much of Valve's fault. I mean, sure it is, but I'm pretty sure they're working their asses off to make the consumer happy. After all, if they were just greedy, they wouldn't want to hurt the consumer, because that would result in a loss of income and a loss of consumers and then they wouldn't get their monies. Valve is working hard on these issues, some people just get their problems solved faster than others. If you don't think your issue has been solved, then reopen it or ask for a new ticket. It'll get solved eventually, otherwise you should call their support (I'm pretty sure there's a phone number or two someplace)
I just spent about $30 on the Mann co store. OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN
I just spent about $30 on the Mann co store. OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN
Don't get surprised if they disable your account.
I just spent about $30 on the Mann co store. OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD OH MAN
Don't worry. It's not enough for it to be disabled.
I lost all my team fortress 2 items also. :crying:
You really didn't have that much to lose. But I did http://tf2b.com/?id=nmagain

I'm still running my steam account since 2003. 5 Digit Steam ID and 45 games.
Now, I'm worried that if I ask my friend for Black Ops I will get disabled too :psyduck:
got my account back fuck yeaaaaaah
I'm still running my steam account since 2003. 5 Digit Steam ID and 45 games.
We're bros, then. Except I have slight more games :clint: Also this whole "accepting unknown source gift" is quite dumb.
We're bros, then. Except I have slight more games :clint: Also this whole "accepting unknown source gift" is quite dumb.
And it's quite funny how it wasn't an unknown source gift.
