Great singleplayer (Short, but sweet, and feels much longer.), Zombies, Balanced & Fun Multiplayer, plenty of guns and gun customization, the awesome emblem creator, theator mode, dedicated servers, less annoying helicopters and shit - it actually means something to earn one.
There is plenty different if you actually give it a chance. Sure, if you're looking at barebones it's the same, but once fleshed out it's nothing like the previous games.
Apart from the performance, I think the game is pretty cool, and the multiplayer in general is fun. They even seemed to get the lobbies to work for the better.
People like to bitch about things, let them bitch.

The reason why I hated MW2 so much was because in comparrison to the first MW, it just felt... compacted?
the multiplayer combat seemed to rely on just running around and hiding in corners, where in modern warfare I remember almost all the maps you could fight ranged and actually have some strategy to it...
That being said, it could have been only one map
That and the kids at my school, 90% of them went on about it everyday especially the "cool" kids that actually have no lives and will get no where in life due to their failure to perform at school, not even taking Tertiary entrance courses, unable to get into university and will be living on my tax money from centrelink
Black ops multiplayer still kinda sucks... but if they fix the spawn system then those strategy elements might finally do it for me again.
till then, I can sort of live with spawn grenade run shoot die repeat for a while...

I didn't get black ops because I have no money to buy one on steam or XBOX 360. I'm broke
I don't play CoD games because I don't like them. The Zombie modes in the Treyarch games when I'm with friends are the exceptions. I try to get Activision games used or borrow a friend's copy, but it's not realistic to expect to avoid everything Activision puts out there forever and still play some of the better games that get released.
