Joshyy- Archer: Dissillusioned with the quality of life in the Mountainhome City Guard, Joshyy vowed to live the life of a traveling mercenary, and then tripped on a rock about 20 steps out the door. He happened to fall on one of the dwarves originally going on this colony mission. Now everyone seems to just think Joshyy was always there.
Clanratc- Iron Man: Always actually preferred steel. An accomplished Blacksmith with a bad case of wanderlust and the desire to eat nails, the Mountainhomes, while appreciative of the great skill he held, didn't appreciate him much after the palace "mysteriously" fell apart during another of his visits. He was tasked with the establishment of this new colony, and is probably the only sane one besides Joshyy.
Not that that's saying much.
Vronkio- Cat Man: Loved cats. Maybe too much. Sits around all day making furniture and stone toys for his cats, which other than just snuck away, prompting him to believe his cats truly appreciate what he does, as they use it all up so fast. Also brought 50 cats on the colony travels. You asshole.
Doggie- Dog Man: Beleives himself to be a mysterious creation of the gods in the form of a Dwarf with the soul of a dog. Armok help ye. Spends his time growing plants and making drinks trying to help others of "his kind" gain sentience. Also brought 50 dogs, you asshole.
Johnlukeg- First Born Son: No one knows much, no one wants to. You're renowed for your expert mechanical abilities and bonecrafting it's true. The problem is you gained those skills about the same time your siblings disappeared and you "magically" gained an artifact Dwarf Bone Ballista.
Block- Minecrafter: Swears he's in the wrong dimension, or some gibberish like that. Also tends to be very afraid of cacti, beliving them to be wating for him, so they can explode.
Grayron- Potashishkebaber: Likes making potash. A lot. Eats the shit too. At least we'll always have something to use to get rid of wood before the elves arrive.

I vote Vronkio is the first recruit to "accidently" get killed by an accidental door lock into a room with a hole in the roof where as a hatch is placed that opens by the only lever in the room hence forth water rushes slowly into the room and kills vronkio.

Preferably a weaponsmith, armorer, or military dwarf.

I am starting the succesion game after the new version. I am making a list now. First 6 players can choose skills the first dwarves get. Also, whoever wants to be first, let me know. You have 5 days to make your turn (7 if you are a good storyteller). If you wont do it at time, your turn will be skiped and you will be blacklisted. If there wont be enough of players, guys who played before will be able to make another turn. Turns are 1 year. Also, dorf naming!
Also, you are really late. And running more than one of these on FP, is pretty much suicide, we can barely ever hold one up for long.
I dont see any more succession games coming. I am trying to break the curse. If 5 days is too long, i will shorten the deadline to 3.

My fort shall start in the ocean. We will dig into the water and mine for fish. Once we grow gills, we will be nauseated by the air, so we must begin to trade with the whales, and declare war on mermen, the elves of the water. As the elves try to bring you nothing but cloth and wood, the mermen try to bring you nothing but sand and sea foam. Kobold thieves will drown on our borders repeatedly because they have not yet learned that they cannot breathe water. They'll probably sink too. Our booze stores will be most excellent, as we will simply release it into the water and breathe it as our surroundings. Eventually there will be enough booze to saturate the entire fort, and the surrounding water. We will train war carp, raise seahorses, and hunt jellyfish.
And anyone who tries to interrupt my plans can gtfo the bloodline
Two more days until my prediction date. I think I'm going to lose my chance of winning the E-jackpot.
I'll go down in facepunch history as that super-cool guy who brought the light of the most glorious succession game ever seen to the forum, and I'll probably be made an admin because garry thinks I'm so cool for making the thread and starting a fort.

Closing in on 1st April, which is when (according to me) it will be released.
The Future of the Fortress thread on the Bay12 forums is a few posts away from reaching 1,000 pages. So many people including me said at pages 400-600 that there's no way in hell it will reach all the way there without a release :smith:
