lol, fire demons can be killed by water. Everything elss can be incased in obidian.
Tarn will have forgotten to fix the temperatures of some creatures; every time a hoary marmot enters the map, it will explode into flames hotter than the center of the sun.

STEP ONE OF THE PYRAMID HAS BEEN COMPLETED! Facts about the Pyramid: - It's approximately 23 tiles wide at the base, and 11 tiles high. - Since the entire thing is solid as a mountain, the entire thing took 2290 Dolomite blocks and 35 bars of Gold to construct. - I lost around 7 hours of my life on this pyramid alone, painstakingly constructing every block and placing it at just the right angle. - The lowest floor will be slightly hollowed out as is the plan to construct a massive burial chamber. - The second highest point will be slightly hollowed out to allow 4 Platinum statues to be placed, each acting as eternal sentinels on the land (one for NSWE.) STEP TWO... UNDER CONSTRUCTION What will be done in Step 2: - Hollow out the base. - Construct and place the Eternal Sentinels. - Construct the six Steel Obelisks (will require 300 bars of steel in total.)
that thing would be awesome to explore in adventure mode, once it's done

Fucking. Shit. :worship:
You should have made it hollow and build massive staircases and filled it with workshops - a miniature (or not so miniature looking at that thing) fortress inside it. or at least spiral staircase to the top.
Aww, it's already finished construction? You should've built it like the ancient egyptians did.
I bet on what ever day the 4th of April is.
April 1st, HAHA FOOLED YOU THERE NEVER WAS A NEW VERSION! That's what's gonna happen.
no
April 1st, HAHA FOOLED YOU THERE NEVER WAS A NEW VERSION! That's what's gonna happen.
I bet he's going to do an April Fools of exactly that, but link to something and it will be the new version :3
THat's why I betted on the 1st April.
Oh that's cool :3 I just realised that the next version of the thread is V10 - DF 2010 Edition!
Oh that's cool :3 I just realised that the next version of the thread is V10 - DF '10 Edition!
Fix'd ^^
There'll probably be combat bugs like the "human scratches enemy in half with his fingernails" one that appeared a while back.
OW! That's gotta hurt!
Oh that's cool :3 I just realised that the next version of the thread is V10 - DF 2010 Edition!
And once the new version comes out it won't take us long to go through 700 posts. :v:
I bet on what ever day the 4th of April is.
That's wendsday. My bro's b-day is the 5th, thursday.
Oh that's cool :3 I just realised that the next version of the thread is V10 - DF 2010 Edition!
I propose we seperate the DF threads based on their versions, incarnation and amount of threads. Dwarf Fortress V1.2.10 would mean that it's the 1st thread of the 2nd incarnation of Dwarf Fortress VX (1-9 have been about 40d, the 2nd incarnation would be DF2010) and 10 posts all together. Dwarf Fortress V5.6.20 would indicate that there's been 5 threads based on the 6th incarnation (5 versions after 40d) and all together there'd been 20 DF threads. OR we could just have it as V10, I don't know.
Aww, it's already finished construction? You should've built it like the ancient egyptians did.
How so? It's nowhere near done, I still have to build an elaborate burial chamber under it, in conjunction with Obelisks.
How so? It's nowhere near done, I still have to build an elaborate burial chamber under it, in conjunction with Obelisks.
You need a maze with traps and a pit with a giant scorpion in it.
You need a maze with traps and a pit with a giant scorpion in it.
I would if I was on a Desert biome. I guess Spirits of Fire will have to do instead once I break into the HFS. The maze of traps will definitely be done, however, it will just be more vertical then horizontal.
Im getting attacked by ogres after only 25 minutes.... I don't even have a workshop yet.. im dead.
Im getting attacked by ogres after only 25 minutes.... I don't even have a workshop yet.. im dead.
Trust me, it hurts less then being attacked by a Giant Eagle 30 minutes into the game.
Trust me, it hurts less then being attacked by a Giant Eagle 30 minutes into the game.
wow.. that's VERY bad luck yeah...
Trust me, it hurts less then being attacked by a Giant Eagle 30 minutes into the game.
No. I've been attacked by a skeletal giant eagle 5 minutes in. Fuck your shit :v:
Mengkat the perfect family: Consisting of Father Asmel the marksdwarf that slew the goblins Damasto, Zolak and Osnun and Mother Olon the planter that planted the first batch of Plump Helmets. Due to good circumstances in the fortress they managed to produce the amazing amount of 4 children, all girls. Rigot, their eldest daughter just joined the Fortress Guards and is soon becoming a champion swordsdwarf. Her sisters are expected to follow the same path as their father and eldest sister. Glorious warriors, defending Amostanil "Townglory" from the evil in the world. Edit: Well it got ruined since the bitch tax collector came. Edit: lololololl
