What's even more epic is that my woodcutter single-handedly killed both it, and a rampant cave crocodile without even getting a scratch.
Sooo... a troglodyte managed to get into my main stairway, now the walls are smeared with troglodyte blood...

Lower the resolution. I tried playing at 1600x900 and it runs like shit, but at 800x600 it's perfect. I expect this will go away when the d# merge happens.

Umm, a question. What do I have to do to construct a farmplot. In the old version you could just place a farm outside, inside if it had earth. Is it something I have to do before making a farm?

Just dig deep and explore the caverns you uncover. Also, remember that with lava comes more dangerous creatures.

Now you have to build a Farm Plot on muddy ground. You can do this by irrigating or building one in an underground cavern. I recommend irrigation because building it in a cavern leaves it vulnerable to attacks.

My dwarves got rocked (literally) very early on by a cave-in. I really would have liked to know beforehand that that would happen. :( Maybe it should be gigantic text in the OP, or even in the title of the next thread. Then again, it is surely more "fun" for people to learn about it themselves.
The fucked-up part about it is that the area I dug out sat there just fine with no problems for a long while, but then it just suddenly collapsed when 3 dwarves and a cat decided to go in there to sleep.
All tragedy aside, the cave-in effect was really cool looking.
Holy shit I was screwing around in arena and a Dragon just blew a Giant to hell and back.
I'm sad because the wiki is useless now! I can't even check things from previous versions.
Is miasma not in the game anymore? I've noticed that remains don't create it anymore. Maybe it just takes longer this time.
Well, first fortress has been fucked over by a nightwing, it made me wince a little when I was reading injuries, I had a stoneworker who had both his eyes broken open, I'm guessing he means they got squished while still in his face.
