Well, I've gathered a tiny military (it's confusing at first, but you get used to being able to assign specific weapons and whatnot) and set the squad's current orders... "KILL RACCOON".

Do not attack them unless you have very, very good armour. Those horns can gore pretty much all your Dwarves to death, very quickly indeed.
