There seems to be some problems with the app: If someone sends alot of messages I don't always get them all, also if my device locks then it seems when I open it I don't get messages that were sent while it was locked, which means if there's a gap in my conversation I miss out on parts.
It's beta though, hopefully they will improve it - and it does feel nice apart from the few issues.

I'd also like to be able to press links and have them open in browser.
It's kind of glitchy.
I kinda wish it would know when you're reading the messages on your computer and when you aren't.
It's annoying to get on my phone and see I have a new steam message, only to see it's all the conversations I was having on the computer being sent to my phone.
I wish that when you selected people in your friends list, it went straight to chat instead of going to their profile. It's annoying waiting for the profile to load when you just want to talk - profile should be a second option you can go to after chat loads. Would streamline the app a lot.
(iOS version, not sure if the Android one is any different)

Whoop, I got in the beta! The app runs very nicely, the only thing I find kind of annoying is having to leave your friends list every time you want to go look at other news or something.

I should probably explain. When I look at a game or news from a game, and click back to look at the news list again, I have to navigate all the way from my friends list again. It's annoying, but it's a beta, so hopefully it will get better.

I gifted mine to a friend that wasn't even aware that steam have gone mobile.
I was going to gift it to someone else but according to them it doesn't work on 3G iPhone's or earlier.

It seems that steam dished out a lot today. (Monday)
Who ever was on the Monday batch got them in line. me and one of my friends got the steam app at attempted to sign in soon as we had it and we ended up get our beta keys on the same day.
But with that said you can feel special because the beta is still closed and people are still waiting for keys or gift keys.
I've got an extra beta thing, add me on steam if you want it.
Enjoying the app. I plan to buy the darkness 2 on it just to see how functional it is.
I also hope they keep the classic steam chat alert sound. Brings back memories I sort of miss the old steam before they made the steam community.
In my opinion a better sound as well.
I found out that the wishlist is a bit ugly, it could use some work.

I can't access anything other then friends list, friends chat and group list.
When I try view the store, profile pages or group pages it just loads a blank page, nothing on it.
I'm using Android, Xperia x8.
