Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X Mega Thread - Games

It looks like a pretty generic plane combat game to be honest. Really isn't that interesting looking.

I hope it's not too arcadey. It does look pretty awesome though.

I don't like arcade flight games that much, I'm a sim man. The graphics are great, but since this is new for Tom Clancey games, then it might suck, and if it does, they should make another splinter cell with server browsing for coop missions like L4D except for the matchmaking shit.

Where's my PS3 or PC demo, it's the 26th now.

It looks good, but the constant "WARNING! WARNING! INCOMING! INCOMING!" would start to get on my nerves.

Shit the demo doesn't come till tomorrow.

I played it on Xbox.

HAWX is hawt. Any chance for a demo? I'd really like to fly with a F22 Raptor ^^

The demo has the F16 I think, it feels really clunky and cartoony compared to Ace Combat, graphics better either, 60fps that comes and goes, and nothing is happening on screen hardly ever, when you target an enemy plane you see a picture instead of footage of the plain, the cg soldiers talking is crap, lipsync totally off and just ruins the whole immersion.

Wasn't the best demo I've played... I'm kind of dissapointed :(

Apparently the assistance mode is what is pissing everyone off. If you turn it off it's bascially like Ace Combat, which is good because that's my favorite game series.

Played the demo, and damn is that a shitty game. A friend of mine (Going into Aeronautics engineering) swears it beats Ace Combat 6. I promptly swore at him and smoked some hookah. EDIT: If "Assistance Mode" is on, you are in first person. If it is turned off (required for any sort of maneuver) you flip into this awkward third person "movie" view. I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out the plane's orientation while in this mode, which made it hard as fuck to get a lock on another pilot. Ubisoft, stop the Tom Clancy bastardization, develop a different line of products; It seems to me the well has run dry, stop milking a franchise that is past it's prime.

Tried the PC demo as well now, I like it a lot better. It's pretty optimized well, my 8800GTS has only 320MB but I can run it at 1920x1200 on max with 2xAA with 60fps + I think it's the same engine as Rainbow Six Vegas 2? It ran like shit on the same system I only got 30fps on low and that was when I still had my 1600x1200 monitor. Also, tip for people who hate the controls, this game feels like it really meant to play in the cockpit camera mode. I really hate the assistance off mode, I only use it when I have to perform a sick maneuvre to dodge a missile. Can someone help me, please? I tried using Google, but I didn't find any good link to the Demo and don't know what site is good for these kind of things.
