Did everyone find the demo extremely easy? It may be my experience in flight sims, and even though I enjoyed the demo a lot (changed my expectations of it), I was flying circles around the AI. Doing Pugachev Cobras and Kulbits was so easy and those two moves alone are all you need. They're easy as shit to do with the assistance off, which is really the only way I played.
Can someone help me, please? I tried using Google, but I didn't find any good link to the Demo and don't know what site is good for these kind of things.
www.gamershell.com Also to above, non-quoted response, I found it pretty hard, but I guess not using non-assistance mode makes it a lot more challenging, since your view is a lot more restricted ( especially using cockpit mode like I do ), you can't pull off all sick-ass maneauvres. Also using that one system, forgot it's name, that makes those triangles appear that you can follow, sometimes don't work right, especially when going for a ground target, and it often brings me to an annoying spot where you can't pull up fast enough because of mountains or high buildings in the way. And if you die you have to start the mission all over again.
Is anyone else getting a bug where the controls seem to have a mind of their own? Sometimes I just randomly fire missiles without pressing a button.
Is anyone else getting a bug where the controls seem to have a mind of their own? ALso, I can't seem to get out of a stall on the PC demo. I could do it fine on the 360 but I press the throttle and level out the nose but no luck. It looks to me like the engines shut off and try to turn on but nothing happens. Any suggestions?
oh shit a reason to fuckin use my joystick now besides battlefield vietnam!
Can someone help me, please? I tried using Google, but I didn't find any good link to the Demo and don't know what site is good for these kind of things.
Either go with gamershell like the link in one of the above posts or download it off steam.
I knew that this is not going to be a realistic flight simulator(Although this had somewhat disappointed me already.), but hell, playing it feels like the developers never heard of gravity, the thing that was pulling them to their seats while they were sitting and coding that game.
I was really hoping this would solve at least some of Ace Combat's problems of crappy story/VO/music but it sounds like it sucks Dang Maybe I should get Bad Company instead of this
I was really hoping this would solve at least some of Ace Combat's problems of crappy story/VO/music but it sounds like it sucks Dang Maybe I should get Bad Company instead of this
atleast try the demo first
I am downloading it
I am downloading it
i'm gonna download it faster than you are!
Bet you will Torrenting at 30 kbps with 50 connected seeds :(
I just played it. this is such a crappy game. 1. you're forced to do third person mode for some of the missions 2. the enemy is ALWAYS on your screen (so your following camera is rotating around you so you have no sense of what direction you're going) 3. whenever you try to do anything cool the fucker on the radio says "you're stalling the plane OMG! PULL UP PULL UP!" I know how to fucking play a game and you're not even letting me play like I want to fuck you fuck this game it sucks ass
Bet you will Torrenting at 30 kbps with 50 connected seeds :(
why don't you download the demo on steam?
not only that, but when you're doing that stupid mission where he's like "lets learn how to stall the plane" he tells you to stall the plane, right when you do that, he starts yelling "recover quickly recover come on for the love of god you're gonna kill us!" like oh yeah, sorry I didn't know you wanted me to recover, i thought you wanted me to plummet to my death!

controls for this game are a bitch
I don't know what you guys are talking about. This game is awesome.
1. you're forced to do third person mode for some of the missions
If by some of the missions you mean the first mission which is the tutorial which teaches you how to play WHICH YOU CAN SKIP IF YOU WANT TO
2. the enemy is ALWAYS on your screen (so your following camera is rotating around you so you have no sense of what direction you're going)
Then don't turn assistance on. You don't have to play like that if you can't. I do fine with assistance off. I like it much more than with it on. Like I said you can skip the tutorial.
3. whenever you try to do anything cool the fucker on the radio says "you're stalling the plane OMG! PULL UP PULL UP!" I know how to fucking play a game and you're not even letting me play like I want to fuck you
You shouldn't be stalling. If you're talking about the move where you brake and flip backwards at the same time, you shouldn't be stalling when you do it. Every time I did it I didn't stall.
controls for this game are a bitch
not on the xbox.

I've played the demo on the Xbox 360 and I have to admit that I'm pretty impressed - it was awesome.
this game actualy anygood?
I'm gonna try the demo n steam right now
I actually liked the demo, but what the fuck, no F22? no A10? At least give me 1 of them. And there's no save. So if you unlock the Harrier it won't stay unlocked if you load up your profile again.
Somehow I can't pitch down. Just up and roll left/right. Controls set fine.
Was gonna get this on Friday, but then I've learned I won't be able to play it, due to the game requiring new firmware on the drives, which I don't have, I think you know why hehe.
I liked it, it worked well with my X52, but it is going to have to wait until I finish the games I just bought.
Seems HAWX uses lua for some of it. common.lua references some files which do not exist however, so I'd say they are packed away in the .pak files. I want to see if I can make a separate plane entirely. Also, it runs excellently on my X1900 AIW and core2 duo @ 3.31 GHz on XP pro.
I'm too cheap to get this game for my 360, but I'm afraid the game won't be any fun without a joystick :(
