Hey guys - I'm trying to decide if I should get this, because while I really like flying games the demo sucked ass. I hated the long range 3rd person view, and it felt clunky to me. Are you ever required to go into the view after the training mission, or can you fly all with the regular third person and cockpit view for the rest of the game and online?

You choose if you want to use it or not, i don't, only when i can't find out where a missile is.

Wow... This game really isn't demanding Graphically (It defaulted me to 1280x1024 at Max). I got an Average 51 FPS in the benchmark with a High of 130 fps (Which I"m guessing the part of the benchmark with no action).
Though bad thing, my Graphics display driver crashed 5 times through out the whole thing.
This game is fucking awesome. I'm not sure if I should get the 360 or PC version. I want to use the 360 controller, which I can use for both. But in high intensity battels my display driver likes to crash for 5 seconds which leaves my screen black.
I can't figure out this thing about going to the advanced menu in the tutorial for LAN play with Hamachi
Anyone have any Hamachi LANs setup? If not, I could make one.

It's the "network connections" bit. Don't worry about that, though, hamachi is top by default. Just join a group.

Don't worry about the "hosting" part. Just connect to the hamachi network. I'm hosting, so i've sorted the forcebindIP stuff out and everything.

Join a network, then under lan games look for a game. If there's one running, it'll show up there.
So far all I've done is a couple head to head fights with a friend, 'twas alright, but I guess it's not gonna be really awesome until there's like 4 people flying around at least.
LOVE THIS GAME. Joystick finishes the experience.

I don't think you're required to use it outside the training.
That said, it gets a lot easier to control with practice, and the more I play the game the more I like it. So I would give the demo another chance (or two or three) before you write it off completely.
You're not required to use Assistance Off. I fly with Assistance On in Cockpit mode 95% of the time, I only use it when I'm being chased by a missile so I can dodge it easily.

I'm sure I saw someone use the F-35 in multiplayer, but not too sure. I'm at rank 23 and completed the campaign mode and still not got it, might get it in the higher ranks or something.
