I can still play Deus Ex and have more fun than I would playing most modern advernture/action games and I'd discover things I've never seen the bunch of times I played through it.
Anyone who doesn't like Half Life 2 missed the Era where it actually was a spectacular and stunning game.

Well if revolutionizing the genre is a merit, then Halo definitely deserves some credit.

Everybody played it but I though that the gameplay itself was dull an repetitive. The shooting was horrible at times. More frustrating then fun. Furthermore the community is so shitty that you don't want to play this game.

Half-Life series, I love it to death, but people act like it's one of the best series out there and the second coming of Christ in video game form.
I thought that Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 were both pretty overrated. I enjoyed them but I got bored of them way too fast.

Well I played L4D1 for 2 years back then(Versus) and after that I got really bored so,in L4D2 I just got bored way too fast.

I've seen a lot of people say Bioshock, and I sort of agree; it was really fun, the setting was cool and the plot was awesome but I'm not sure it deserves a 96 Metascore; seems more like a 90-92 to me; great, but not "highest rated of all time" great.

I felt like everything about bioshock was stellar except for the gunplay. So yeah, I agree with you.

Like it or not, consoles are a big part of gaming today. Halo might be overrated, but you'll be hard pressed to overstate its influence.
