you need to have hl2 installed
what.
I cant find my half life folder ): only my hl2 one
Same ? I'm literally puzzled right now, looking for it.
This is for Half-Life one if you haven't bothered to read the thread
This is for Half-Life one if you haven't bothered to read the thread
I have I have. I just need to know the directory for the HL1 folder in C:
You start hl1 up and the folder is made  Also I'm not new the options menu would be messed up and such like that.
ah shit I remember this game you got to ride on fuckin dragons n shit, it was awesome
The installer should find the directory on it's own, but in case it doesn't, it's just: steam/steamapps/user account/half life There's no seperate folder like Sourcemods for HL2. It just goes into the Half Life folder.
Maybe because the characters look like runescape
It's Half Life 1 you dolt. Go play Crysis.
Its in HL's folder now, but there doesn't seem to be a Shortcut to start it? Nor a .exe?
Its in HL's folder now, but there doesn't seem to be a Shortcut to start it? Nor a .exe?
Just run half-life out of steam Edit: Wait what the fuck, how DO you run this?
Restart steam and fire it up from the games tab.
Restart steam and fire it up from the games tab.
Confirmed. The thing is I had already restarted steam once, meh, works now.
So can you host?
I've reinstalled and restarted over a million times now, it still won't work. edit: Wait is there supposed to be a wizardwars_beta folder in Half-life or are those files inside that folder supposed to be in half-life?
Download the mod. Put it in your Half-Life folder. Restart steam. It will appear in your games tab. No, it will not have an icon on it, but it will be there.
Download the mod. Put it in your Half-Life folder. Restart steam. It will appear in your games tab. No, it will not have an icon on it, but it will be there.
I still can't see it. Well fuck this anyway.
You're failing at something, obviously. Where are you trying to install it? Because the standard installer path sometimes fails.
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\USERNAME\half-life\wizardwars_beta Basically. If you dont have a \USERNAME\half-life, then you either haven't started half-life at all, or you haven't got half-life. Open steam games, run half-life, then close it. Try for the above path again to install it. Then right click steam in the system tray, Exit, then reopen it. Should be in there as "Wizard Wars Beta" or something. And no I cannot host. Buy a dedicated server, gogog.
We played this through hamachi last night. The network is "Wizard Wars Facepunch" and the password is "fp".
We played this through hamachi last night. The network is "Wizard Wars Facepunch" and the password is "fp".
Edit that into main post OP. Also, start a game?
I'm ready if anyone else is.
You went offline in everything. :C
Anyone up for a game? I can host? I forwarded my ports and such? [editline]10:10PM[/editline] I joined the hamachi channel as well. Solid Jake
Whats with the question marks? Do you know what they're used for? I know how to use them? I like fish? :x I might buy HL1 JUST for this. Riding Dragons? I'm sold.
How come I never knew of this thread until today! For those of you who are really into the mod, hit the official Steam group here.
Okay got a server up. Name : Facepunch Wizard Wars Map : ww_2fort Normal IP : 96.250.114.170 Hamachi IP (If you have it running) : 5.255.45.47
Why are you all using Hamachi? There's a server browser for a reason.
