I can't say On Mirror's Edge is proving to be too reliable for me. From what I've gathered, most of it comes from the odd off-hand comment and trailer and screenshot analysis.
This has very high chances of being Game of the Year.
good there's no brown shit because games with brown stuff looks like POO
I fucking hate that they delayed the PC version. I wanted this game, and now I won't be able to play it until probably 2009 :crying:
This game looks great. I'll definatley get it the day it comes out. I just hope that the controls are'nt bad or confusing for the 360.

If that delay will make PC version play like PC version and not like a port, then it isn't bad that it got delayed.

I guess you're right. But why not make like VALVe and release them all at the same time?

Sad truth, this: very few games are truly multiplatform: they're usually designed for a specific console, then left unchanged or barely working for its counterparts. Coding and hardware can usually play a big part in this: some developers are put off by the PS3 because of the format they have to adapt to.
Overall, the PC seems to lose out every time: the keyword above is 'console' as most recent games for the PC were made for a console first and foremost, then haphazardly ported for the PC.
The result can be seen in games like Mercenaries 2, which had glitches, bugs, performance issues and a somewhat unintuitive UI.
Like most games before it, I doubt EA are seriously going to use that time spent between the consoles and PC releases doing anything apart from working furiously to make sure it can actually play. Then they'll just shovel it out in a more or less playable, but bug-plagued experience.
There's no multiplayer, people. The appeal is there, though.
It wouldn't surprise me if they 'remember' to include it in the sequel.
This isn't true. I watched an interview from E3 in which he said that they would discuss the multiplayer closer to the release date.
In other words, that gap isn't to go over Mirror's Edge on the PC with a fine-tooth comb and make it perfect, it's time being spent in order to make it remotely playable.

:argh:

Developers say a lot of things at E3 if it'll get more publicity.

DICE wouldn't make a bad game for the PC. They used to be PC exclusive.
OH FUCK.
Well fuck it, that's the last game I buy from them.
But this is an EA game. :C

You just WANT M.E. to be a crappy game.
Edit:
Also= Multiplayer= Maps
Maps= Custom maps
Custum maps= Map editor! :bees:
I shouldn't get my hopes too high. :v:
:geno:
Wait, why would I want it to be a crappy game? If anything, I'd like it to be worth playing in an age of mediocrity and wasted potential. Unfortunately, if past input is any indication of future returns, video games are going tits-upwards. Mirror's Edge is unlikely to be the shining exception.
Isn't the demo for this meant to be coming out today or tomorrow? At least, EA talked about pre-order codes unlocking something in the demo for tomorrow...

I doubt it, or there would be something in Mirror's Edge website.
I can't fucking wait to pull off some awesome Cinematic Parkour jumps.

Hell, I'll probably throw myself off a couple of buildings to start with. Even dying looks cool. None of this fade to black and a game over message. Instead, time slows, the camera goes crazy, then it all speeds up again in time for you to hit the ground, blackout instantly and die.
I just read an interview, and unfortunately Fadeaway, you were right. The time trials are the only multi-player content in the game. But still, I never play any online multi-player apart from TF2 anyway.
Wow I just found out Terry Pratchett's daughter (Rhianna) wrote the story. I knew she worked in the gaming industry but I didn't know she was working on this.
Preordering just for the runner bag.

HOLY SHIIIT AWESOME
I hope that the player's breathing and grunting in this game can be disabled. That's going to get annoying after a while.

They're going for immersion. Believe me, you won't notice it.

Though I do wonder as people towards me and hear my computer moaning, what are their faces going to look like.
Wow, that game looks cool. I might get it when it comes out. I liked the trailer and the gameplay videos. I really might consider buying this. :)
