Now given two days to wonder about it, I could say I'm playing Mirror's Edge when really I'm playing porn, least until they hear fapping noise, I'll say I'm in a sewers level.
Wait, pre-orders for this are out already? Jesus fuck, where do I sign? I really fucking want this game. I just heard about it a few days ago. It looks fucking awesome. Notes: I hadn't realized parkour and free-running were different. Being ginorant, I thought they were one and the same. Climbing buildings and jumping fences and shit to get from point A to point B in the fastest time. Based off the principle that the shortest between any two points is a line. What's with everyone and "ugh, she's ugly, I don't wanna play this game."? Honestly, like it's already been brought up, it's a first person game, you're not going to notice that often. Second, she's honestly not that bad looking (trust me - I'm pretty damned gay :downs:) This game looks very pretty. When I saw it, I fell in love with the simplistic colouring scheme. The blue windows, the white buildings, and then you had some other colours so it didn't all blend in with each other. And then you had the red of the hint system, which I think is actually pretty damned awesome. Other than that, is there a chance at a Runner's Bag for a 360 version? I'm sorry, that just strikes me as awesome. I looked on the EA Store, but it's only for PS3 and I don't have a PS3 and I'm not paying $130 for a $60 game I can't even play, just so I can get a bag, no matter how awesome it is. Unless it's completely and totally win awesome and should be worth $130 in the first place (at which point it's too expensive for a freaking BAG and I'm not gonna pay fpr it in the first place) How about a release date? I've seen that it's November 11th, but are there rumors of it getting pushed back further? Are they on time?
Just remember everyone, this is from EA, something we see in the trailers is going to be taken out, and released as an expansion pack/dlc.
Ok, I've been looking around and I've heard this that and everything about a demo. With pre-orders before September 26 (whoops, that's past), they're giving out a code for the demo. That *should* mean the demo's out, right? It only makes sense. But.... I've also heard the demo is announced for a November 6th release. And even elsewhere I heard that there was no given release date on the demo. Granted, I didn't check when the articles were written, but still. I checked XBL, too, and I didn't see anything under the Game Demo store on Mirror's Edge. My question to you all is... Is there a demo that's out or do I have to wait? Or does it come with a pre-order or what?
I wish I could get a Runner bag without pre-ordering. My mom's a bit... you know, when it comes to buying stuff online. I hate not living on my own house and having my own shit. I'm turning 14 tomorrow.
This does look like a nice game. It's definitely one I'm looking forward to in November.
My question to you all is... Is there a demo that's out or do I have to wait? Or does it come with a pre-order or what?
I've heard the code the stores gives you is given on November 6th. If that's true, it's a stupid move considering how close it is to the game's release date.
The demo is public, it would be a waste to have a demo, WHICH IS USED TO SELL A GAME TO PEOPLE WHO ARE UNSURE, solely to those who preordered.
I remain cautiously optimistic about this game. It seems to have some potential. The game looks very atmospheric and the gameplay style looks refreshingly original. However, the linearity of the whole thing worries me. If what I've seen so far is any indication, it might as well have the gameplay of a Dragon's Lair game. Too many games seem like slightly interactive movies these days.
If I look down will I see virtual boobs? Also the vids make the game seem a bit less non-linear than I thought it was. They shuffle it enough that there's at least two ways to go through one "corridor".
If I look down will I see virtual boobs?
NO, runners have small breasts.
NO, runners have small breasts.
That's true actually.
This game looks so fucking awesome, really epic. But I think it will be very short :( hope not. Edit: So is there a demo out?
That's true actually.
Of course it is. How could you run while your boobs jiggle into your face. Not an easy task. And it would be harder to keep balance.
I'm so gonna get this game when it gets released and when I upgrade my PC. But too bad that you have to be somekinda girl with a fucking tatto on the eye.
I'm so gonna get this game when it gets released and when I upgrade my PC. But too bad that you have to be somekinda girl with a fucking tatto on the eye.
Because you'll be looking at your eyes so much in a first person game.
Because you'll be looking at your eyes so much in a first person game.
But it is called inspiration. If you know that you are playing as an ugly chick, then you get upset even if you don't see her. It is called being ingame hero. I don't feel good when I am an ugly chick :/
Because you'll be looking at your eyes so much in a first person game.
In what seems like an effort to be clever with the title, the developers do have several points where you'll see Faith's face in various mirrors, including that part where you jump onto the helicopter. I won't stop in any washrooms for vanity's sake if I can help it.
As usual the PC version gets released at a later date.
Really, you all give that much shit about her face? (For a face that looks like shit) But really, just because she's ugly doesn't mean I'm going to like the game any less.
I think she looks actually handsome and really good for a "runner", it fits perfectly.
If I look down will I see virtual boobs?
They actually did that in Trespasser.
Of course it is. How could you run while your boobs jiggle into your face. Not an easy task. I'm surprised. Most of the moves used in that video weren't immediately obvious: usually sliding down a building ends in death.
At 1:13, I notice when she does the run wall on the building, jumps off, and then lands and rolls she actually is in a different spot then where she landed.
At 1:13, I notice when she does the run wall on the building, jumps off, and then lands and rolls she actually is in a different spot then where she landed.
My guess is that was a cut death. That slow motion seems to come into play in high-risk situations, like throwing yourself off a building, even with wall running.
I'll use reaction time when I'm plummeting to my death. :q: I really hope there is a map editor. Imagine the epic maps everyone would make! Edit: Also, I like how you can put hole in the solar panels.
My guess is that was a cut death.
