That's the same as we have in sweden :v: Except it says "I butikerna nu" (In stores now) and we don't have that creepy "Rated T for teen" guy.

Damn, this was a game I was really looking forward to.

Is nobody else at FP playing this already? I'm super, super stumped to the point where I may never play the game again because I'm ready to give up. [sp]Chapter 7, in the room with the objective: get to the top deck.[/sp]
Help?

it's [sp][/sp] ass. :argh:
Though that's the worst spoiler ever.
VG gave it a 5 out of 6, the reviewer said he was going to slaughter it after the first play through, but he said he did a second one which completely changed his opinion!
I'm stuck on the part where [sp] Ropeburn comes charging at you with a pole, what do I do? :v:[/sp]

Disarm him?
Um, yes I do. Incase you haven't seen reviewers get pre-release copies and there are already about 5-10 reviews completed for the game. The general consensus on how long it takes to beat the entire game is about 5-6 hours for the first time play-through.
Edit:
You didn't read my post did you? It's about getting the bang for your buck.
No matter how good you think Portal is, or Episode 2 is, they are not worth $60 in value.
HL2 took me 15 hours to beat on my first play through. Sure I could beat it an an afternoon now if I went at it, but when you play it the first time it's not the same.
It's a very meaty single player expereince, couple that with the fact that the full $50 package also included a full multiplayer game for it's first release, which made it worth the value. The fact that it was a great game only was icing on the cake, because you got a meaty expereince for your value that also tasted good.
HL2 Episode 2, Portal, and TF2 were all included in a big meaty $60 value box (I'm going to assume the HL2 and Episode 1 additions are to be considered free for the sake of the example). You get a good 4-5 hour long expereince with Episode 2 for the first play through, a good 4-5 hour experience with Portal the first play through and doing all the misc challenges (that's already about 10 hours worth of singleplayer experience), AND you get TF2, which I've personally spent a good 40-50 hours playing total. That's a good deal for $60, a VERY good deal especailly considering the games included are absolutely great.
However, with Mirrors edge, we get a 6 or so hour experience for the first play through INCLUDING all the challegnes (although there is light replayablity there if you're the kind of person who likes to constantly try to get a better score or loves speedruns), and that's it. But, you still have to pay a full $60 price tag (Episode 2 and portal by themselves only had a value of $20-$30 to compaire on release, which is more than half the price of Mirror's Edge.). Even if the expereince of gameplay is great and flawless (which it isn't, but overall is very good), it doesn't help the fact that for your money you're getting a cheapened expereince.
This game is worth a rent only in my eyes. A game that would be great to play, but once you are done you are done, and something like that is not worth a full $60 price tag if the longevity of the game is only 6 or so hours before you've done all there is. The only games I enjoy replaying are open ended expereinces like Oblivion personally.
HL2 only took me 6 hours to complete on hard the first time through and I really bought it for the multiplayer and mods. This freerunner shit looks tight, and unless they are distributing it online its hard to bring that box set price down.
I've just been out with my mate to buy it. I was thinking about buying it, but then I wouldn't have any money left for the entire month.

Wait what
buy it from where?
Or you mean you went to his house [or opposite] and thought about pre ordering it?

What? He bought it at Blockbuster. They started selling it today.
Seems I've been taking steam for granted. Looks like for once I'm going to have to get my fat ass to the store to get this gem.
Is it out in Europe already? Does it ship to all the countries in the same day?
I was just watching TV about an hour ago and it said "In stores now"
It said November 13th before they changed it.
I got it today woo !
God, I do love the sight of red ring of death right when you're about to play one of your most awaited games of the whole year.

Mostly calling you out on your comment on length, but first- why would you give us your opinion of the game if it's based on a review or two? Just link us to the reviews and be done with it.
But uh- getting on your criticisms that it isn't "meaty enough"- you were aware it had a time-trial mode when you bought it. If you bought it. If you haven't, well, you at least know it has one. You need to then keep in mind that some people are buying the game for all of the ways it can be played, not just the one mode you chose.
It makes a comparison to say, the Orange Box, lopsided. You mentioned most of the ways one can play that. Invert the scenario- I am not a very big fan of online shooters, they tend to bore me. I haven't actually even tried TF2 out of sheer apathy for the genre, watching it bores me to tears. We'll pretend I hadn't played HL2 and all that yet (you GREATLY exaggerate their length). Were I to buy the Orange Box, the entire package would feel very hollow, just a breeze through the singleplayer stuff, and no real replay value. Overall it'd feel like a rip.
Instead of saying Mirror's Edge isn't long enough, just say you got bored of it and didn't feel like doing the time trials and such. It's better advice for a potential buyer, and it doesn't come off so horribly genre-biased.
HOLY SHIT! One of the BEST...no not game.... MOVIE EVER!! Why don't they make this a movie and sell it instead of a damned game. It's got alot of inspiring stuff about stupid government. heh, ironic isn't it. Ea for gamers = bad government for society. What irony. Anyway, this is a hell of a show. Pretty much a movie where you can interact and do stuff. Still, it's a movie and what do we do with movies? Well, for one, we go to the theatre to see them, 5 bucks a pop. Or, we buy them on DvD, 10-20 bucks a pop. This shit is 50 bucks a pop.
This game doesn't have that much replay value. Trust me, i got that from EA's second latest game, Dead Space. Just a story, once it's over, similar to any movie, it's over. Why would you watch it again? or in this case, play a movie-like game again.
I'd say EA should go into making movies instead of wasting their efforts on games. They've got alot of Hollywood talents but NO SHITTY game talent, making gamers everywhere sick of their presence as a game company.
This game is way too difficult for my tastes. I broke my controller in frustration.
If I were you, I would just pass up. You're not missing much.

I always laugh at people that break controllers in frustration.
