I tried the demo for Mirror's Edge recently and I have mixed feelings.
It's fun sometimes and other times it's meh.

At the boat level, when you slide down and fight that runner, how do you kill him? Tried to punch him (>80 hits), and i can't disarm either (nothing happens when i press Y anytime). What the hell.

I must say, this is one of [b]the best[/b] games I have ever played. It's just so refreshing and original, compared to your typical run of the mill FPS out there.

I've played the 360 demo several times. As soon as I have enough money I'm going to buy this and play it. Hopefully there won't be too much homework to work/slack on.
rent it, definitely don't buy it. i completed it the day i rented it.
I don't know why people keep saying the game is too short.
It took me 14 hours to finish on my first play through, and that was just the main campaign, I hadn't even tried any of the time trial stuff yet.

Well, I would just try restarting your game and trying again, as this seems like a technical bug (unless I misunderstood). Though, incase you don't know, in order to defeat him [sp]you have to attack him (I did mostly slide attacks, and I'm not sure what else works, as I didn't try) until his gun turns red, and [i]then[/i] you have to disarm.[/sp]

The combat in this game is horribly flawed.
