PhyX most likely.
If there's interaction with PhyX, even you don't see it, it'll can kill your GPU.
Loving this game, but had to reinstall because I was trying to get cheats to work, but the game complained about corruption and I'm a lazy fuck. Still hate the bit where the sniper 'copter chases you through the mini-canal. That and after you see the wrestler talking, I have no idea where to go in that office. I hate offices.

What the fuck. Beginning the third (or fourth?) level goes fine, and after about ten seconds, running/looking slows to a crawl. I can't jump forward, but jumping left or right is at normal speed. No, I have not enabled bullet-time. Patched 1.01 version.

Anyways, this is one of the best ports I've seen in a while. After disabling PhysX, no crashes for me.
Is it me or does the patch 1.01 not help with physx at all?
here's what i got:
pre-patch w/ physx: freeze like shit. like 2 fps.
post-patch w/ physx: freeze more like like shit, 2-3 fps.
I only dip this low when there are actually PHYSICS going on like breaking glass.
I have a 9800 GTX+ 512 MB.
Is it my card? I doubt it. Or i could be wrong. Am I?
Or is the patch a placebo?
OH, ANOTHER THING: My sounds are shit. They're loud and bad. Most obnoxious are the helicopter and cop alarm sounds. They're fucking loud and they sound like they have sore throats.

Don't ask my why but best reason I can think of other than people playing the demo and then not buying the full copy.

Working perfectly all maxed out at 1152x864 since I turned PhysX off.
For all i know is, this game runs like shit with physx, literally...constipated shit. Abysmally slow.
The sounds are horrid, especially the ambience sounds. They're loud, making them sound hoarse and broken. Tuning the sounds would mean bad chapter cutscenes (no audio almost. You have to turn that knob all the way max to hear them [I]whisper[/I]). You need a soundcard to run this game well with sounds? That's some kind of bullshit.

Oh, and the thing about them reverse engineering the demo .exe is nonsense. I hear they had it cracked and on P2P before it hit the street. But you know EA.
