You just contradicted yourself and supported my point.
No he didn't. He said that "PC got shafted and had to wait 5-6 months", not "PC got costly DLC that was free"
I love the game but i cant get past chapter 3 because of a bug. I play normally in the beginning, I jump the ramp, climb up the two pipes but once i get to the top on the roof with the solar panels. My character just slows down as if in slow mo and it does not allow me to jump. Anyone know of a fix for this? or maybe a command to skip levels?

Yay for map editor, nay for images not working
No he didn't. He said that "PC got shafted and had to wait 5-6 months", not "PC got costly DLC that was free"
Yes, he did. He said that PCs get shafted. He used the CoD4 DLC as an example. He said that the DLC was late, but they got it for free. I don't know about you, but that is definitely not shafting to me.

We couldah just re-made them if we wanted.
... That's the Anti-Piracy block apparently.
I really like this type of anti-piracy that puts funny glitches in the game to confuse the pirates into asking for help. I think Crysis warhead was better though with its "all guns fire chickens" bug that happened with pirated versions of the game. It's pretty much owning up to the fact that the game will be pirated and even though that particular bug will be cracked, it's still funny to play around and laugh at them until they figure it out.
"all guns fire chickens" bug
HAHAHA, that's almost worth pirating it for.

Well I like the game enough to buy it, I just wanted to test it out to make sure it runs on my computer instead of finding out it runs on 3~ fps after I bought it.
Argh.
Great, now I can't run it windowed.
fuck i really want to play this..
Great, now I can't run it windowed.
running it in windowed makes you have lower fps, anyway.
@HubmaN Try not playing it in Windows 7.
Is this game worth buying for ps3? or just get it on pc?
Is this game worth buying for ps3? or just get it on pc?
FPS controls are always better on a PC, and this is no exception. I tried playing on my 360 controller and it just felt wrong. And if you have a recent Nvidia card, you can enable the physx effects. Even without it, however, the game still looks tons better on the PC.

Personally I like PC and so I go with PC.
The plot seemed to revolve around you unmasking the assassin. It was obvious from that the assassin had to be someone you trusted otherwise pulling off the mask and finding some random dickhead wouldn't be quite the twist. Cel's the only one the fit the profile, plus she had a real shifty look in the tutorial level which also happens to be the only level I played with sound (I had to pretty much guess or press tab to work out what the fuck I was doing).
I assume it was here when that guy was shot, I saw the person running away, it looked like her because how she moved. I hate the PhysX glass effects, the glass gets replaced by random peices no matter where you shoot and then they fall down unrealisticly slowly, worst of all they rape my framerate for no reason, there's not even that many objects there but unless you have PhysX hardware acceleration, it stutters at <10fps. Glass dissapears: Random peices unrelated to where you shoot: Not that many peices there but requires a fuck load of power: Red Faction had this: in 2001, it'll run with absolutely no slow down on today's PCs and reacts better to where you shoot it. What's worse is that PhysX has really nice cloth physics which can rip, why not change this to glass and make it brittle and stiff? It'll be like how DMM has the same objects being able to react differently depending on the "behaviour" set, PhysX already demonstrates using cloth as metal deformation in the demos, but they don't use that on the door either, which would be a good edition. This also runs fine without hardware acceleration, so imagine how much they could push it with hardware acceleration? (higher bending/smashing resolution or just more objects with the property). PhysX has a lot of potential and it's being wasted.

Like, if you have an ATI card or a Nvidia card not capable of CUDA. I just tried to enable it on my 4850, and I got about .5FPS after the SWAT members shot a few panes of glass. Before which, I was getting ~60 (limited due to vsync). The effects also didn't work correctly. The pieces of glass were random, not physically influenced, and fell as if they were in slow motion.
Great, now Jacknife is fucking me over. Why can't I grab onto the flags :argh:
This game looks great, but I can't decide between it and Midnight Club: Los Angeles. I've played the demo of Mirror's Edge and loved it, but I also love racing games. Can anyone influence my decision?
Mirror's Edge has very little replayability (although it should last some time), I'm not sure how Midnight Club: et cetera will work out in that category, though.
@HubmaN Try not playing it in Windows 7.
Ran it in compatibility mode, worked fine. Thanks, though!
I really liked Mirror's Edge, I liked the story, the art style and the characters (Except for Cel, she didn't really seem... Human... to me), and for me it has a decent amount of replayability because I like trying different things in the various situations
Yeah physX in ME is quite badly made.

If they can do deforming metal with a strengthened stretchy cloth, they can do breakable glass with a stiff tearable cloth and not have to use this horribly reacting replacement trick.
