Faith reminds of that chick from Postal
I hope there will be lots of mods for this. Actually, Imagine Garry's Mod for Mirror's Edge. Garry's mirror? Garry's edge?
How come every time a new game is released everyone gose:
OMG!! Make Garry'z M0d for this!!! PLZPLZPLZ!!
What I hate is that the whole movement is cinematic, everything is made to look like it's really happening, but when she holds a gun it doesn't even look slightly realistic, it just bobs.
I thought her face looked fine in the first trailer. Now it's horrible.
I noticed that.
How come every time a new game is released everyone gose:
OMG!! Make Garry'z M0d for this!!! PLZPLZPLZ!!

Are you dense or something? I didn't say I want it, nor am I telling Garry to make it. I'm just saying it would be cool. And since when do I have such grammar? I wonder if there will be a mapping tool... But fom Dice and EA... I doubt it. Also, It's spelled "goes".
A mapping tool would be REALLY awesome.
Why does everyone care so badly about the character's face? In a first person game? Last time I checked Marcus Fenix wasn't the sexiest man around.
Why does everyone care so badly about the character's face? In a first person game? Last time I checked Marcus Fenix wasn't the sexiest man around.
But he is awesome and kicks ass. And looks badass
I love free running and I can't wait for this game.
But he is awesome and kicks ass. And looks badass
Faith is also awesome and she kicks ass. She doesn't LOOK badass, but she is. Edit:
I love free running and I can't wait for this game.
When will people learn, Parkour=/=FreeRunning.
When will people learn, Parkour=/=FreeRunning.
In this game you FREE RUN, not parkour, park is mine.
In this game you FREE RUN, not parkour, park is mine.
No, Parkour is the most efficient and fast way of getting from one place to another, and Free Running is just showoff, like doing backflips and shit, That's not needed in parkour, and Faith uses parkour.
this better have a map creator so i can do speed runs and it better have no limit of acceleration. I don't want to be limited to 100km/h of running/sliding speed.
When will people learn, Parkour=/=FreeRunning.
Well sorry, no one has ever told me what Parkour is so I thought it was Free Running.
Free Running is a physical art, meant to look good, while not necessarily efficient, while Parkour is essentially getting from point A to point B in the quickest way possible.
Free Running is a physical art, meant to look good, while not necessarily efficient, while Parkour is essentially getting from point A to point B in the quickest way possible.
Now this is a good response to anyone who doesn't know. To be honest, I'm not expecting much of this. It's probably going to be too short.
Whoever said something about Faith in a pit. Depending on the height of the wall she can do a wall climb.
It looks like it could get boring fast.
It looks like it could get boring fast.
On the whole, it's just a very pretty, long-ish osbstacle course. EDIT: Kind of like Portal, except you use yourself to get around instead of a portal gun.
What the hell is the game Breakdown you're all talking about, all i've heard of is Crackdown.
On the whole, it's just a very pretty, long-ish osbstacle course. EDIT: Kind of like Portal, except you use yourself to get around instead of a portal gun.
True but I'm not sure if movement alone will allow for as varied levels as the portal gun. However, I'm tentativley being optimistic about this.
It must be VERY dynamic not become boring. All animations and such.
What the hell is the game Breakdown you're all talking about, all i've heard of is Crackdown.
Namco's first person fighting/shooting action adventure game on the brick box X! Fucking awesome game, YOU CAN EAT HAMBURGERS IN FIRST PERSON! :O~~
Namco's first person fighting/shooting action adventure game on the brick box X! Fucking awesome game, YOU CAN EAT HAMBURGERS IN FIRST PERSON! :O~~
You can eat sandvich in tf2 too.
You can eat sandvich in tf2 too.
but not in first person you ass banditeer! :v: you can also drink soda for ENERGY BOOST
I really really don't like the game highlighting paths in red. Takes away the adventure. Very stupid idea for a game like this.
You can turn them off.
I really really don't like the game highlighting paths in red. Takes away the adventure. Very stupid idea for a game like this.
It's optional. One of the achievements for the game will be completing it without using it.

Oddly enough, I can't wait to play this. I've always liked the idea that if you're in someone's head, you see what they're seeing. Sometimes that includes no HUD (unless it's an in-helmet display) but mostly that means fluid movement of everything, including the head (too many FPS games feel like you're hovering) and if possible, the rest of the body. Plus graceful movement in any video game is wonderful to do. For awhile, I overlooked Assassin's Creed's mediocrity because Altair's movement is absolutely beautiful and he rarely lost momentum. I also liked how I could use the entirety of my environment rather than a couple of arbitrarily placed platforms and bars to get around.
