EDIT:
Fuck you smartness. :argh:
Can't wait for the demo.
The color scheme is just amazing. I love it.
When is the demo coming out?
There is a demo coming out?
I have a feeling that this will be on the level of portal. Especially with the very clean aesthetics and minimal hud along with the fluid movement.
The demo is coming out sometime in October, I'm guessing around the 26th because that's when the pre-order bonus ships.
Which is a password that unlocks time trial in the demo.
Faggots gotta recognize, this is a good looking game; despite the lack of brown and grunge.

It looks good, I just hope they haven't forgotten to make us a good game while they were busy making it look pretty.
-SNIP-
Looks good, hopefulyl should be EPIC.
She's ugly.
She's ugly.
Yeah, but look at it this way: it's entirely from a first person perspective, reflections are rare and she has a good voice. It's a little offputting placing it next to how she looks, but there's not much we can do about it.
Nice to see a more average chick rather than some Soul Calibre style woman with very little clothing and tits bigger than her back could carry.
The eyes, the horror.

:geno:
More average? She's got some whack tattoo under her eye and looks absolutely perfect, despite how many bumps and bruises you'd get from flinging yourself around rooftops. Not to mention the fact that her complexion makes her look more like a groomed model. Runners must have a lot of time on their hands to keep themselves looking go good.
I hope it will be moddable, I so want scout as player.

I think he means of average stature and everything not some woman with huge tits and as thin as a stick.

How did you not lose smartness?

It most likely will be mod-friendly, since it is unreal engine. There are rumors that there will also be a map editor. In fact, I'll post a pic of a test map by the dev team. When I find it.

Happy fun time stair trips anyone?

Rumours and speculation - it's not the engine that determines whether mods can be made as even (perhaps even especially) the Unreal Engine undergoes significant modifications for each game it's used in. Don't get your hopes up for much more than a map editor.
Shame we won't probably be able to stop for long in Mirror's Edge. It's certainly a beautiful game.

I want the Heavy Weapons Guy as the player.
Just thinking about it makes me chuckle.

Why not? It would be soo fucking unrealistic to affect someone if she didn't move.

Well, sometimes it is. Check the Source Engine for instance.
Or maybe I'm just confusing shit.
I just love the colors in this game, unlike the shit brown games that keep coming out.
But i don't think that my pc will handle this... :(
either there's a map creator or I'm not buying this.
This has potential, but I don't think the free running/ roof jumping novelty isn't going to sustain it.
a map editor would make this game really shine due to the potential community pumping out roller coaster / acceleration run maps.
else, it's going to fail like SPORE
Too many awesome games this fall, my wallet will explode into a gory mess and then the gibs will burst into flame.

Actually, i agree.
Edit:
Any multiplayer? :downs:
Multiplayer races would be fun.
Why not? It would be soo fucking unrealistic to affect someone if she didn't move.
I mean the fact that on the whole, you'll be constantly on the move. It's not exactly a bad thing - after all, maintaining momentum is a fun challenge in any game where there's a focus on your movement.

Valve have actively encouraged modifications since Half-Life. It's really not the engine that determines whether there'll be mods (an example of this is how BioShock has seen no significant modifications or even an SDK, despite using the Unreal Engine), it's up to the publishers and developers. Even then, it's rarely a case of them absolutely discouraging it because all they can do is make it easier or harder to affect their game.
Edit:
There's no multiplayer, people. The appeal is there, though.
It wouldn't surprise me if they 'remember' to include it in the sequel.

And how do you know that? www.on-mirrors-edge.com 's wiki says otherwise.
"Multiplayer is not going to be traditional type of deathmatch. However, DICE has confirmed that there will be some form of online multiplayer included in the game. There is very little known about multiplayer beyond that. "
For a wiki, they did a bloody good job of not listing the original source. When was that statement made?
