I'm sorry I thought he said pve. Owait he did.
Your reading comprehension leaves a lot to be desired.
Arena pulled the pvp balance towards outplaying your opponent, rather than having naxx gear, putting up 2 dots and waiting. If you don't want to do arena don't expect high end pvp gear. It's like complaining you're forced to do Ulduar for good PvE gear, but for some reason no one complains about that, even though it is really, really boring.
you didn't even read what I all said. I said arena has ruined pvp by making all available battlegrounds useless and the only way to get some gear now through pvp is by doing arena.

Battlegrounds are only ever good if you need carrying or if you've got some kind of personal healer. Arena allows you to get good by actually being good, not farming all day long.
Battlegrounds are good with 12k crits :smug:

I know myself will never have any decent PvP gear unless it comes from WG, because I despise arena with every inch of my being.
Concept of arena sounds fun to me at the minute cause currently I can kill most players with 1 rotation in destro.
Concept of arena sounds fun to me at the minute cause currently I can kill most players with 1 rotation in destro.
Without resilience. I can one shot zero resilience clothies with a chimera shot crit.
Clothies are easy to one shot, three shotting some faggot frost DK stacked with stamina is a fucking achievement.
I get most my health done in one CB->Conflag "rotation", and my pvp gear is 14 BiS for PvP. [editline]03:46AM[/editline] Not to mention 9k frost strikes D:
If you mean you're getting hit before finishing your rotation use immolate -> conflag -> CB -> incinerate. That slows them down and increases your casting speed. [editline]03:55AM[/editline] And oh lord it's so pleasing watching them walk towards you knowing they're already dead.
Against healers the pure shock of the CB landing at the same time as the conflag is pretty awesome (I play rogue Destro lock druid at 2.3k, and I've dicked about on a friends desto lock). On the other hand against dispellers its often worth conflaging right away because it could get dispelled right away (it _really_ needs some protection).
-snip-
Yeah i really miss the old days where you'd have to rebuff 40 people every fucking 5 minutes as a paladin. Kept me busy, great times. Also the tier drops from bosses were absolutely fun, as you could really excited about what was to drop next week. Yep, WoW was better in classic.

I miss how I'll never get a refund when they made mounts more and more cheaper, but besides that, nope
also, arena made pvp kind of... bland. Instead of premade groups of 15 people big going around picking bases, you go in a group of 2, 3 or 5 and kill other people. That's no fun and you were forced to play arena "or no good PVP gear for you!" (btw what was up with the crazy raise in stamina in TBC, we went from 5-10-20 stamina per item to 60-80-100 stam per item)
Let me stop you right there. Arena was a good change. Would you prefer farming rank14 (or 13, but not getting rank14 weapon) like Old-schoolers did? On the biggest servers, you couldn't have gone to school if you were to farm rank14. Now Arena requires you to play 10 matches a week, to get points, for items. After all, it's skill based. (2v2, dk/pala dun dun). Not just putting up wreckface and charge into the Lumber Mill in Arathi Basin and cleave everything down. Arena has it's downsides yea, it's class dominant, mostly in 2v2. But BG has nothing to do with skill. [editline]07:43PM[/editline]
you didn't even read what I all said. I said arena has ruined pvp by making all available battlegrounds useless and the only way to get some gear now through pvp is by doing arena.
Oh no, Arena didn't make battlegrounds useless. For every arena player, I bet doing few BG's with your Arena partners is always a nice change of action. Besides, you need to farm honor for off-set pieces. Belts, ring, heck, even Pvp-trinket (Which is a must!) EDIT Bleh, Anubis-Ra was speaking up for me all this time. :(

Although now instead of dk/pally teams we're gonna get RMPs and melee cleave dominating.
impossible
That's what Ensidia said about Yogg with no watchers... Then they got raped by 3 guilds and only did it because one of those guilds posted a strat. I took all my time getting ranks and became a legionnaire, this was fun and all and felt like I had achieved something. What happened when they released arena's? they say "yeah you'll be doing arena now for the rest of WoW and BG will only be good for capes n stuff. So here enjoy your honor grinding. Oh and since we'll be going to lvl 70 anyways enjoy your cheap high warlord items." That was like a fucking kick in the balls.

Just because it's harder it doesn't make it less of an achievement for the people who manage to do it.

my hunter felt special cuz i had tranq. shot :)
I loved Vanilla WoW, in a lot of ways, it was better than WotLK, but in just as many, it fails in comparison. The raids and BG's were fun, but the balance was shit. Shammy's were hacked, warriors not in the best gear could get owned so easily, and the concept of a DPS warrior seemed foreign to most people(Even if I beat most people doing it). Raids with 40 people were tremendous and felt like a really large adventure, especially considering the size of the instances. MC was massive. BWL? Huge. AQ40? Biiiig. Naxx 40? Same size, but so challenging. I remember the good things, and nostalgia is a powerful force, but what we have now? It's good, I like it, and even as a DK now, I find it rewarding. Some aspects of the game I miss terribly. The existence of shitty PuGs still bothers me but the rewards of some great people to meet at times, it's worth it. And arguing on trade chat over all sorts of things will always be fun.
