I got it first playthrough too, it was pretty fun watching the gnome glitch up the car

Just the other day, I finished Episode 2, completing my entire play through starting at Half-Life.
I somehow managed to get all the achievements except one of the easiest - HotPotat0wned.
Also, I stowed the gnome in the rocket along with the strider brain, a bloody skeleton, and a chair.
The helicopter was in fact a bitch.
I ran for cover under a boxcar and shot every last projectile weapon I had at the thing, only to suicide.
Then I destroy the helicopter by the barn, but it reappears after the next loading point.
When I tried for Get Some Grub, I got 332/333...
I searched for well over an hour for that last little fucker but I couldn't find it.

Yeah, but it's a guide. It's like going on a tour through the mines with a guy with a laser pointer telling you exactly where they all are. That's not an achievement; it's an activity. Finding each and every one of the grubs by yourself is an achievement.
Though I will throw this out there for anybody too frustrated to actually get [I]Little Rocket Man[/I], try to get it first. It's so much more worthwhile to imprison that smiling bearded fucker in a rocket with a violent alien than to cheat. But if you really want to cheat, do this:
[sp]People have reported that it's possible to get [I]Little Rocket Man[/I] by not taking the gnome. Instead, when you reach White Forest, find a barrel or a chair or something and take it with you. Look at the prop, enter the console and type "sv_cheats 1; ent_setname gnome; sv_cheats 0". This will rename the prop you're looking at to "gnome", and you can then put this in the rocket and it will activate the achievement. This may or may not work, however, because typically when sv_cheats is set to 1, achievements are disabled.[/sp]

Holy shit I know that pimp.
I decided to get it when I got to Ep2 in my "Half-Life replay-athon" in honor of upgrading my computer, earlier this year. Played through all of them on hard, and Ep2 with the gnome. By the end, I was emotionally feeling some sadness not carrying him around anymore. :frown:
I also got the Neighborhood Watch achievement in this playthrough. I'm proud of myself. :buddy:

Something like this happened. I put it in, closed the door, got the achievement, then it fell out and fell down the rocket silo. I said "Fuck it" and forgot about it.
He's so cute...yet so creepy.
didn't someone do this in real life going around the world with a gnome then this achievement was based off of it

Use a prop as a shield when they shoot you, then throw the prop at them just before the fletchettes explode, and BAM, they're dead and you have an acievement.

The worst part was the part where you run from the guardian, followed by the FUCKING Antlion Workers. At least the gnome can protect you from the spit.
