well to be fair it was better than crysis 1's ending which basically was

and you just know that the sequel would have been irredeemably terrible if that had panned out, since you'd be fighting those flying blue fuckers for more or less the entire game
I've always preferred the human fighting in Crysis more, not the alien.

the multiplayer is a bit stupid and riddled with technical issues but the singleplayer is really good, I'd recommend it to anyone

Yeah, it's got better in C2 and the Ceph are a decent tier 2 baddy, but the humans are still way more fun to fight.

You should get it when/if the multiplayer gets fixed. It's still really good.
I actually used stealth a lot in Crysis 2, mainly because the aliens are still boring to fight compared to humans.
I must be one of the few people who actually liked the original aliens.

They didn't ruin the game, but they were bullet sponges and annoying to shoot compared to the nice squishy koreans.

I always fucking hate flying enemies, they're not fun to fight and you don't get any satisfaction once you deal with them. Helicopters are alright because they're mostly circling you so you can predict their patern of movement.
I always felt satisfied when they spiralled in towards the ground.
The original aliens looked awesome. Just fighting the huge exosuit was great

Just because the card is new doesn't mean it's ready to handle anything you throw at it.

Actually this reminds me of one of the reasons I found C2 to be much less frustrating than C1. The fucking korean helicopters. You know the ones I mean, they'd follow you even if you were cloaked, then when you were uncloaked they'd rape you with their autotargeting minigun and missiles of fucking doom until you finally shot them down. But in some areas you were caught without a rocket luncher, and those areas made me want to chew my own dick of fin frustration.

Is there any way to make it stop giving me a black screen that isn't getting a new card?

It didn't get reviewed because it came out on friday in australia. Also DA2 wasn't a bad port, if it was a port at all, and this isn't a terrible port either. Play the PC version of resident evil 4, now that's a terrible port.

decided to see what would happen if I played the game for a bit on my laptop on max ress 1600 x 900 with extreme settings applied using the advancded graphics option tool plus ssao and all of the other stuff
Realtemp recorded 98 c on core 3. usually i only play on 1280x720 and only very high settings and temp never goes over 80 c
