Also, is there a health indicator somewhere or just BLOODY SCREEN, SO REAL?
The bloody screen is the health bar pretty much. Games like to think that if you get shot a lot, no matter where, your eyes decide to piss blood.
The bloody screen is the health bar pretty much.
No its not, the textures are half the size they were in the first crysis. http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/proof--crysis-2-textures-1-2-s/1193802 It also plays nicer since their isn't tons of moving trees, with the shading from those moving trees.
what the fuck does moving trees have to do with performance, "shading from those moving trees."? what the fuck are you talking about
your entire post is completely and utterly WRONG Mainly because he's right, the graphics and technology in Crysis 2 is overshadowed by it's predecessor, which should be obvious when you compare screenshots, and even more so when you realize Crysis supported DirectX10 in 2007, whereas a 2011 game that is successor to a series of games that made huge graphical advancements in the industry only supports DirectX9.
maybe if you actually knew what you were talking about you'd know that CryEngine 3 supports a much broader selection of more advanced technology than CryEngine 2, the game has nothing to do with that. The engine supports DX11 idiot, it's getting patched into the game, albeit no one knows why it wasn't available on launch (probably because they were busy working on the consoles) it's not like it even fucking matters anyway, you aren't going to be seeing a large difference between DX11 and DX9 oh it's kopimi why isn't my filter working
Managed to get one of the civilian cars drivable! [img_thumb]http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv17/CplCookie/hatchback-1.jpg[/img_thumb] sort of..
i wish the civvie cars parked around in the game were drivable. i wanted to hot-wire a yellow cab and run it into some ceph. kicking's good but just not the same
i wish the civvie cars parked around in the game were drivable. i wanted to hot-wire a yellow cab and run it into some ceph. kicking's good but just not the same
I'm sure it would be possible, it'd be a matter of replacing the old vehicle entities for each car that way they are drivable in game. Except one would have to wait for the full sdk udk or whatever you want to call it to come out. Also, i fixed the hatchback, it now has proper tires and the player sits in it correctly. only problem is it ways the same as the American LTV so it just plows through everything
I. Still. Can't. Login. To. Multiplayer. I have lost all faith in Crytek.
If you still can't login, then it is something on your end. [editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
I just finished the game in under 8 hours and I'm pretty pissed how so many magazines gave it 90+ ratings. I give a fuck about insane graphics while the gameplay is ridiculously boring, disappointing, short and monotonous.
What did you do? Run through the game and didnt kill a single enemy? Oh easy?
If you still can't login, then it is something on your end.
Oh yeah? Do you want to tell that to all the other people who posted in this 116 page thread on the same issue? http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10954 :downsbravo:
Okay so running the editor and loading a cry file for a map using the retail version caused my monitor to stop working. Thinking my PC crashed, I do a cold boot. Completely. Fucking. Hosed. I can't turn my PC on anymore and have the video signal work, even in post. It boots into windows (I hear the sound), but my video appears to not work at all. I'm pretty much freaking out right now as I just dropped $230 on a new video card less than 6-8mo ago and am going to be pissed if Sandbox 3/Crysis 2 (as I had this happen once while playing the game too, except it wasn't "permanent" then) fried my video card. Currently have both the card and the CMOS battery outside of the mobo... hopefully after 10 or so minutes it'll start working again. Jesus christ My temps should be fine, I idle on my card at 35c and these things are designed to run at 100c. I've never noticed it going over 60-65c on load. Espeically since its cold as fuck in my room atm...
Now when I try to connect to multiplayer it keeps saying "Serial Code incorrect"? Is this a common issue? This has never happened before. Getting really sick of this online system...

It's not a fix, it's a really terrible workaround, especially if you have an LE key. I just kept trying names until one worked. I have a gmail account so I just inserted periods into the email to make it look like a new one. Check out the MyCrysis boards, there is a fix there regarding serial keys.

Once you've done that, deactivate the card manually from the device manager and then uninstall its drivers. Then restart your PC and boot it into normal mode. It should give you an image again, using the integrated. Then try re-enabling your GPU and reinstalling the drivers. Fixed it for me.
Just finished the game and figured I'd go look at my stats... I USE FISTS LIKE A MAN! [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] I've also apparently fired my fists 599 times.
Could someone upload the latest patch file (retail copy). My EADM refuses to finish the download.

Is anyone else unable to rank up above level eight without been demoted or just me?
How do you boot into security mode when you can't see the screen?
It doesn't give you ANY kind of image? When it happened to me, it seemed the screen shut down whenever the GPU tried to take over for the chipset. If you aren't getting any kind of image, even at the very start, then I'm stumped.
Screw Crysis, the Potato hat is out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeDIx7eD5tI
And I will continue not to give a shit about TF2 until Valve releases a non-bullshit update.
Funfact: it's actually secret information about a Portal 2 ARG: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1074965-PotatoFoolsDay/page29 BACK ON TOPIC: How's the multiplayer? I havent tried it outside of the demo yet, and i didn't really enjoy it in the demo.
More or less the demo, only packed with more weapons that are entirely superfluous to the SCAR.
Hey guys. Thinking about getting this game, but I'm not sure it'll run good on my PC. Can anyone please tell me if those specs are able to run the game at anything over 27fps? OS: Win 7 Ultimate SP1, 32bit CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, 2.80GHz GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (XFX Pine Group, Overclocked) RAM: 2gb DDR2 (ouch, I know)
After upgrading my CPU, my framerate leaped from 25fps to 70fps, but I think that may have something to do with a number of other aspects that were breaking in my computer, not just my cpu.
And I will continue not to give a shit about TF2 until Valve releases a non-bullshit update.
Lawl.. I somewhat agree.
My friend says JRPGs are better because you can get more than 10 hours of gameplay in them herp
Beautiful Crysis 2.
It doesn't give you ANY kind of image? When it happened to me, it seemed the screen shut down whenever the GPU tried to take over for the chipset. And yes, I get no signal at all even in POST. It's as if its completely fried... thanks Crysis 2. Apparently other people have had this happen to them.
Oh, and posting my res would probably help too. 1280x1024. [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] holy shit I need to learn how to refresh before trying to post
Crysis 2 can, destroy a computer? Holy, I hope it won't happen to me.
