Crysis 2 has much higher system requirements than the original Crysis,
I really don't think so. I run Crysis 2 a lot better then Crysis 1.
It saves my rank and unlocks, but my challenges and kill counts with weapons haven't saved from the start.
It hasn't been saving anything for me, as soon as I leave the server everything goes back to the way it was before.
I have no idea how to fix it but I just alt-tab back and forth and it eventually works.
Yeah seriously, that's what I used to do but then it just plain got stuck, but now it's all fine and gets over it within a buncha seconds

It Does have higher system requirements. It's just optimized way better.
Anyone getting successful stealth kills in multiplayer?
I do
It's sweet
When I first saw the ceph (and fought them). I was like "oh shit they jump everywhere, they're going to be a bitch to fight", but then you keep seeing them and you see how they're pushovers that literally walk towards you.
that first one didn't shoot me, so I just let it jump everywhere for a while. Was pretty fun until it decided it'd rather stab me than jump :(
Sweet, all the music in the pak files are in OGG format. Going straight onto my iPod.

I have the same problem that I have in TF2; they randomly decide to turn around as soon as I initiate it. End up doing that stealth-melee thing which has the equivalent force of a high-five
So I took a shot recreating the Cell camo, I had to fill in some holes and fool around with colours but I think I got a pretty good representation of it, maybe a little lighter and it would be better. Still trying to figure out how to tile it so for now have this incomplete tile.

Anyone have input?
Well I'm pleasantly surprised by this game, from the trailers and everything I saw it seemed like it was gonna be a total shit-fest, but after playing it off of my friends steam account, gotta say it's actually really fun, probably gonna pick it up if it ever goes on sale. Didn't get to try the online, is it any good?
Where is sandbox 3? i can't seem to find it.
Or is it even included?
Releasing later.
anyone know the filepath of the weapon xmls? I can't seem to find them.
[editline]nevermind, just found it. I'm just trying to figure out how to make it so I can hold more than a pistol and an assault rifle, it's the fucking nanosuit.[/editline] Nevermind, just found it. Hexagons...hexagons everywhere
I hate that in the campaign, your visor gets cluttered with shit you can use. All those hexagons for shit like phones, water coolers, vending machines, etc. Stuff that you won't even use.

i think its funny and gives a sense of completeness
just like how you can get speeding tickets and your suit registers it

True. But those speeding tickets count for an achievement on the console versions (I think you need like 10 different ones from the campaign).
If they released Steam achievements I would go out of my way and play the game again to get them all.

NOW THIS BUGGED THE FUCK OUT OF ME for like 10 seconds, then the name "Crysis 2" appeared in my head, and I had to check this the fuck out.

COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT.
you know, ill bet it turns out they were both done by the same composer
Hence why I said it's probably no coincidence.
Hans Zimmer made [del]most[/del] some of the music for Crysis 2, but he has a metric fuckton of songs, so I won't be looking through them.

I believe it's just that both have been made with the same synthesizer software
At least that was the case with Sniper Run (from World in Conflict) and another Crysis song.
Oh, I see.
the gameplay is great what are you talking about
What are YOU talkin' 'bout? Basically it's like: Run to the blue dot on the map, either by sneaking or by shooting all enemies - all wreped up in fancy graphics. I have to admit that the leveldesign is very clever at some points and the orchestration is awesome but the missiondesign aswell as the variety is below average and if someone says the opposite this persons standards are below average, too.
Also: I played the game on hard difficulty without using ANY of the nano suits upgrades.
so you are complaining about variety while you didn't use any upgrades... That's part of the fun and variety...
But whatever I guess my standards are below average then
so you are complaining about variety while you didn't use any upgrades... That's part of the fun and variety...

Thanks for letting irony take part in this discussion.
Anyway, I wasn't even able to buy upgrades because through a strange coincedence the huge amounts of nano catalyst I gathered disappeared every time I resumed the game. Also your conclusion simply is wrong because without them the game only gets harder - neither more fun nor exciting.
Oh, and before I forget: It seems that you guys are ignoring the fact that the AI is ridiculously dumb at so much points in the game (running in circles, hitting walls and so on).
UPDATE: So I got my video card in today, and decided to hook it up
Upon plugging it in, I discovered that one of the wires that had a conection to the molex connector wire going into my video card was literally fried/melted off....
So I plug in a new wire to my old video card, and lo and behold it works! So somehow a wire got caught and/or melted underneath my video card, causing power to it not to work.
So I now I have a fully working 560 and 460
Since the 560 is teh sex I'll probably keep it and sell my 460 for about $160 or so. Anyone interested?
