Has nothing to do with Crysis 2
Read the past few pages and you'll realize that the original problem was that Crysis 2 "fried" my video card, when in reaility one of the wires while playing a certain section melted off, so I was just posting an update to that.
What are YOU talkin' 'bout? Basically it's like: Run to the blue dot on the map, either by sneaking or by shooting all enemies - all wreped up in fancy graphics. I have to admit that the leveldesign is very clever at some points and the orchestration is awesome but the missiondesign aswell as the variety is below average and if someone says the opposite this persons standards are below average, too. Also: I played the game on hard difficulty without using ANY of the nano suits upgrades.
are you serious you realize everything sounds dumb once you oversimplify them, and this description
Run to the blue dot on the map, either by sneaking or by shooting all enemies
applies to like 90% of shooters today if you don't like something at least give valid reasons
So I took a shot recreating the Cell camo, I had to fill in some holes and fool around with colours but I think I got a pretty good representation of it, maybe a little lighter and it would be better. Still trying to figure out how to tile it so for now have this incomplete tile. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6092109/cell.png[/img_thumb] [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] Anyone have input?
Yes, it looks good. Also, fuck you for being able to create hexagons. :saddowns:

Just in a jungle environment. :v:
Welp.
Watching that felt so weird. I don't even know where to begin. This is such a weird... aiming movement. Since day one of CS 1.3b I learned to follow edges with my crosshair. He just doesn't somehow. And why does he look at the ground when out of energy? And why the random cloaking/decloaking? It's so ... weird. Most other shooters doing it does not make it better.
Finally won an instant action, woo, take that all you high levels with your fancy FELINEs and SCARABs. level 9s represent
The only two instant action games I have won were both using silenced nova and stealth assassinations only :iia:
Did they fix the lighthouse level yet.

[editline]7th April 2011[/editline] And he's pretty consistent with his cloaking in that he stays cloaked when out of combat and decloaks entering combat.
I love how the Marshall says it's the stronger shotgun, but a single fire mode with the Jackal is way better, and fires faster then the marshall as well.
But that's a valid reason.
Yes, it looks good. Also, fuck you for being able to create hexagons. :saddowns:
The colours look fine? If so I'll finalize it and make it tile properly then create a photoshop pattern for you guys.
The killcam in this game pisses me off. I can unload an entire clip into someone and get hit markers, then they kill me and on the killcam Im like shooting way off target.
So, is it possible to modify suit abilities and such (to say, increase the amount of damage resistance armor mode gives) in the first Crysis? I vaguely remember seeing it done before, but I could be completely wrong.
So, is it possible to modify suit abilities and such (to say, increase the amount of damage resistance armor mode gives) in the first Crysis? I vaguely remember seeing it done before, but I could be completely wrong.
Yes.
Yes.
Might ye have a guide that explains how?
Does anyone else get random black screens followed by a session disconnect?
Might ye have a guide that explains how?
Go into the Config folder and fuck with the Suit powers in the *difficultyname*.cfg files?
Grr was doing awesome in a 1v2 crash site game but then I got disconnected :c
Might ye have a guide that explains how?
Get the latest version of quickbms, google "bms crysis 2" or something similar to find the instructions on how to unpack the pak files in your Crysis 2 directory. Unpack the Scripts pak, look in Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2\gamecrysis2\Scripts\Entities\NanoSuit, There's the suit xml. Edit to your hearts content. [editline]a[/editline] Real men don't touch the MP qualities.
He was talking about Crysis 1, though.
Now I feel stupid... And now I'm a loser for trying to self-rate myself dumb. :smithicide:
You don't have to decrypt the Crysis 1 paks iirc, just rename them to *.zip.
Might ye have a guide that explains how?
In Crysis 1 you can edit some suit capabilities via console You'll have to google that yourself as I don't remember where I got it, but the most fun command you should definitely try is cl_strengthscale (value)
Are headshots always a oneshot kill?
Are headshots always a oneshot kill?
In multiplayer or singleplayer? Ceph can take more than 1 shot to the head.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer
No. If you have armor mode on, it takes quite a few headshots to take you down.
half life series = walk to objective, shoot enemies fallout series = walk to objective, shoot enemies stalker series = walk to objective, shoot enemies to anyone who hasn't heard of these games, given these descriptions why would anyone want to play these games? what tedstriker doesn't realize, or fails to mention are the things that set each of these games apart from one another; what makes each of these games great, and instead he gives incredibly vague reasons/criticisms that fall into basically every single shooter
Let's see:
I give a fuck about insane graphics while the gameplay is ridiculously boring, disappointing, short and monotonous.

I have to admit that the leveldesign is very clever at some points and the orchestration is awesome but the missiondesign aswell as the variety is below average.

Anyway, I wasn't even able to buy upgrades because through a strange coincedence the huge amounts of nano catalyst I gathered disappeared every time I resumed the game.

[...]that the AI is ridiculously dumb at so much points in the game (running in circles, hitting walls and so on).
I could go on forever but let me refer to your comparions: When Half Life was released it was something completely new to the young game community in terms of level structure and story-telling. You can't compare one of the first singleplayer shooters with Crysis 2. The Fallout series (I'm referring to part '3' and 'New Vegas') has a shitload of rpg-elements in it, an open world and a ton of sidequests. Also some decisions you make effect the whole gameworld - this is not entirely about walking to an objective and shooting all the bad guys. Unfortunately I can't say anything about Stalker for I haven't played it yet. Crysis 2 fails to provide a unique singleplayer experience since the developers are lacking for creativeness in terms of variety. The nanosuit suggests the player that he can beat a chapter in many ways but the result stays the same every single time. Do I want to sneak to one point, wait until my energy recharges and then repeat step 1 or do I want to shoot every enemy or do I want to do a mix of both procedures? That's it! The consequences stay the same no matter how I play, there are no secondary objectives which for example will bring you better items or advantages whatsoever, there are no moral decisions, the hero is unable to talk. I have absolutely no personal reference to the protagonist. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid game but 13 years after Half Life I would expect a game where it's important HOW you aproach the goal instead of doing everything your navigator wants you to do. This is not only a problem of Crysis. There are so many games with a lack of character.
What is the point of silencers in multiplayer
