well, sometimes just running at you head on relentlessly is a good ai tactic. i've been caught off guard many a time in games when the AI is just like 'you know what, fuck it im going in leeroy jenkins' meanwhile i'm hiding, regenerating my health and reloading when theyre all up in my face to deliver some devastating blows not giving a fuck
and it usually works

Agreed. I personally think the AI is amazing. People just complain at AI because they can. I mean, if Crysis's AI is bad, then what the hell is good AI then?
The way the AI searches for you when you go invisible in Crysis 1 is incredible if you ask me. How they split up and cover a large area in an attempt to find you.
People are just cynical.
Not sure if it's just me, but does anyone have this issue in multiplayer where it just freezes up for like 3 seconds then resumes? It's really fucking annoying when I'm going into a fight then the screen freezes up for a sec.

Not to mention there's that mod for crysis which makes the AI even better.
I found Crysis 1 to be overrated and over hyped trash. The story made no sense halfway through the game (I like a good story in a game [see HL1/HL2 and Deus Ex 1] or at least a coherent one). And the multiplayer was just a joke (with unbearable lag). I think I might have played it like twice.
I can't trust the reviewers since they were, in my opinion, bribed to give it high scores (like PCGamer US giving it a 98 trying to put it on par with HL2 roflmao) so I'll wait for the price to drop before getting Crysis 2..

The story was pretty easy to understand, dunno what you're going on about there. The gameplay was great (aliens blabla) and so was the multiplayer. I never experienced lag either.

What I hate about COD gameplay is that Veteran doesn't feel challenging, it just feels ridiculous. You last about two seconds if you get into the open, and the enemy spams grenades to flush you out. It can be fun, but over all, it feels impossible sometimes.
Ok so I just finished playing through this yesterday and I'm starting on my 2nd playthrough, here are my thoughts:

[*]You can't throw stuff as far or as hard as you could previously, which would have made it fun for distracting/killing enemies

On the whole I still think it's a great game.
I haven't had this much fun throwing random shit around like an idiot since I first picked up Half-Life 2.
Got it today, it's pretty damn fun. I'm having to run it on the 4th lowest resolution though which isn't great.

Games dead, atleast on PC. Filter out Full/Empty servers and keep region at North America and I see 3 servers pop up, good game Crytek.

I have altleast 20 awesome North american servers that i play on.
I have about 3-5 Australian servers to play on.
I guess that's okay for a somewhat popular game.
Eh.... downloaded comrade and it started updating AA and Crysis 1 right away, but not Crysis 2. So... how do I update Crysis 2...?

To all who care, I just installed Crysis 2 onto EA download Manager and now will be getting updates when released.
I can't decide for my birthday if I'm going to preorder Brink or buy Crysis 2
I'm leaning towards Brink but I feel like it's almost too big a risk for a game that's not out yet while after seeing Crysis 2, the singleplayer and multiplayer look fun
What do you guys think?
Brink for sure. My experience with Crysis 2 on the PC has been dreadful.
Crysis 2 was extremely okay at best, and a very forgettable game. I would go with brink, unless you want Crysis 2 for the story and you just want the playthrough experience then go for it.

Nah I really have no interest in the story. I'm mainly looking for a new competitive multiplayer type game since most every game in my library is an RPG/Sandbox type game except for CS:S and BF2 which are pretty old now
