It's a good job I'm correct then.
More like have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
More like have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
Haha ok. I forgot that adding a couple of new shaders and remaking a perfectly fine physics engine == completely new engine. It's like Source, each revision != completely new. Do you really think Crytek rewrote everything for CryEngine 3? They didn't.
I usually avoid talking about game engines because it's mostly like talking about art with a blind person. People throw the word around having absolutely no idea about what it exactly is.
I love how you refute people's points by essentially saying 'You're wrong and also a dumbshit, here's precisely no evidence to back what I'm saying up.' [editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
More like have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
well gee mister thanks for that extensive list of evidence backing your point up

Because things like Global Illumination is not just "a couple of new shaders and new physics engine" and if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about then you should say anything at all.

Otherwise, no one is gonna Bro-jerk you.
Calm down a bit.
I know, I should. I just enraged every time someone tries to shit on someones work without know a shit about it. [editline]2nd May 2011[/editline] Especially when it has something to do with game engines, because of their general illiteracy in that area.
It's probably because he was using the leaked version of Sandbox 3 and didn't bother to do any research on it, like most people.
I know this is probably stupid to ask, But could i run this with my i7 2600 and Hd5870 Ram is 4gb
I know this is porbably stupid to ask, But could i run this with my i7 2600 and Hd5870 Ram is 4gb
no buy a new computer
[editline]2nd May 2011[/editline] That's exactly what I'm saying. Because things like Global Illumination is not just "a couple of new shaders and new physics engine" and if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about then you should say anything at all.
CryEngine 2 has 90% of CE3's features. GI is just a bit of raytracing and deferred light spam.
GI is just a bit of raytracing and deferred light spam.
"GI is just a bit of raytracing and deferred light spam. I'm making stuff like that over a lunch break because I'm a l33t h4xx0r." You either don't understand how much work it takes to make features like GI, make them work on console AND make them optimized or you're just plain stupid. [editline]3rd May 2011[/editline] Jesus fuck! "Little bit of raytracing." Do you know how much processing power is required for raytracing and how outdated console hardware is? I'm surprised they even managed to optimize it enough for consoles to manage it.
no buy a new computer
Im gathering that's sarcasm. So give me a real answer
CryEngine 2 has 90% of CE3's features.
So? CryEngine 1 has 90% of CE2's features. Anything else can just be considered a 'couple of new things'.
Does Nano vision work in multiplayer?
No it do- NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANO-NANOVISION ENABLED
I hardly ever used nanovision. I got used to the armor mode, with perks like; mobility, armor enhance, something. Also M60 is pretty awesome, and Wall Street map fucking sucks.
I don't like using Armor Mode much, that way it feels like any standard shooter. I prefer playing full Power Mode, jumping, sliding and running around like crazy, dropping on peoples head out of nowhere etc.
enjoy being dropped in under two seconds without armor mode then
enjoy being dropped in under two seconds without armor mode then
If i fight them straight on, yeah and even then sliding is amazing. I've been topping the scores without using Armor or Stealth a single time. It's all about speed and positioning. [editline]3rd May 2011[/editline] What annoys me most is that stupid mechanic that makes you a sitting target every time you get shot. It really doesn't add anything to the gameplay except for making it a lot slower.
I don't like using Armor Mode much, that way it feels like any standard shooter. I prefer playing full Power Mode, jumping, sliding and running around like crazy, dropping on peoples head out of nowhere etc.
the armor mode proved to be very useful, if not the best. The next best thing is to pop in stealth and slit enemies throat if you can, other than that it's just Armor mode on and off for mobile moving between the firefight

That's a part of the reason why I'm not using it so often, people expect Armor mode instead of mad dodging.
I haven't bean able to connect to any servers for weeks now, not to mention it only ever shows 3 empty servers. What gives.
Finished Crysis 2 today and I thought it was pretty good. Maybe I'll visit this thread frequently.
just realized i havent touched the game in like 2 weeks. doesnt even feel worth it, maybe ill give it another go after i overclock my cpu
I play multiplayer occasionally. It's still fun, just some maps are very hard to play if you don't camp or use the SCAR.
I play multiplayer occasionally. It's still fun, just some maps are very hard to play if you don't camp or use the SCAR.
I barely use the SCAR and I do fine.
I just realised how much easier Crysis 2 made it to use suit functions. Only thing I feel that's diffneret (so far) is the speed mode, you go flying in Crysis 1 but it's just a sprint in Cry2. Makes sense given the environment though.
My computer crashed twice and I got 2 stop screen errors. I was running in 840x480. Looks good with AA maxed out.
I can't change any settings without it crashing, stuttering sound's a bitch.
Have you tried that advanced graphics tweaker program? Crytek are morons, Crysis 2 is like Breach except without the cool physics and somehow less graphics options..
