This is Crysis 1, Crysis 2 also had the annoying sound stuttering thingy though.
I had stuttering sound in Crysis 1 on my old PC (Sempron 1.7GHz, 1.5GB RAM and Radeon HD3650) on Win7, while it was fine on XP.

Just completed Crysis 2 earlier tonight. Dad picked me up a copy while he was back in Scotland for what's the equivalent of 60 AUD (a brand new game over here is usually about 100 AUD (give or take 10 dollars).
Fucking good game. Felt a lot more linear than Crysis, but at the same time this time around stuff felt a lot more urgent. An entire city was at stake, not just some random island filled with stupid Koreans who can't swim, yet still wade off into deep water.
Any maps for crysis 2? I just want a map where i can fuck around with the physics and such. Searched everywhere, nothing to be found.

New Map Pack coming out soon, looks like it'll cost.
Still haven't finished.
I find it somewhat boring.
Hopefully I'll get back into it with my new razer mouse I got since I smacked my old one against my desk because it was on it's way out.

If people didn't, they wouldn't make them would they.
I'm surely not buying the DLC, especially not if it's just few maps.
Multiplayer is great, I bought the game just for the multiplayer but it's not that great.
Well if PC is free...

So real! When you're on acid.
It is pretty though.
I finally managed to get onto the online portion of the game today.
It's pretty cool.
Ok to revive this thread I have a question, in about a week I am getting Brink and possibly crysis 2, Is this game really worth the money? How is the multiplayer, is it like MW2 multiplayer which is filled with lag and useless players or is it something worth $60?
[editline]3rd June 2011[/editline]
also is the sandbox out yet? and can you have custom maps in mulltiplayer
Not yet.
but they have given the green light on putting mods in a server right?
Absolutely pissed with 1.8, the "advanced graphics options" patch is lacking just that.
Why don't they just give us full in-game tweaking options, instead of this consolified bullshit?
Seriously, why do this, Crytek. Why?
[editline]4th June 2011[/editline]
Also I just finished the game on Post-human, helped that the AI was completely batshit retarded.
Man.. just played.. I'm super awesome again.
Went 20 - 5, 18 - 2 (gun ship), and 30 - 10.
I was accused of 'hacking' twice. :v:
[editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
Also played my Scottish Demoman build and man.. L-Tags are just so.. el oh el.
I actually aimed with the L-tag and it was super awesome.. it bounce into people.. or hit people dead on. So funny.. then everyone was seeing how OP the L-tag is and then it was explosions everywhere.
I feel i ought to admit seeing as its long past the event now, i was the bloke that sent that tip to rps and crashed facepunch
Sorry guys :v:
fuck the haters crysis 1 is better than crysis 2 i dont even consider crysis 2 to be canon it is that ridiculous
gimme a crysis sequel that doesnt involve pseudoreligious posthumanism and has ice-aliens with an invasion of North Korea on top of Raptor Team's further investigation of the island that doesn't involve Psycho and Nomad being written-off and Prophet not going (overly) insane. its like they went "likable characters, an established plotline, side-characters (what the fuck ever happened to Helena Rosenthal)? nah fuck that, lets take all the cool stuff from the first game and make a completely unrelated game and call it a sequel"
they shouldn't even have the "2" in the title, the only thing the games have in common is Prophet (who has a grand total of like 2 minutes of cinematics actually related to the game, everything else is just filler put in to TRY to flesh out what happened between 1 and 2 but fails to do so effectively) and the nanosuit. It's like that sci-fi writer they hired to make 2's story didn't even glance at Crysis 1, but was given a sheet of bullet-points to work with in order to tie it in.
If Nomad or Psycho or Helena Rosenthal (shit she was in the damn VTOL with Nomad and Psycho when you went after Prophet, what the hell ever happened to her? Prophet might have hinted at Nomad and Psycho's deaths, but that still leaves Rosenthal unaccounted for, a big plot hole) are never brought up ever again outside of a bullshit "between 1 and 2" expansion, I will be very upset. You can't just make all these characters and write them off in the next game like they just got pigflue and died in-between.
I am not trolling and if you would look at the game's core story you'd see how bullshit it is. The C.E.L.L. shit sealed the ridiculous deal. If they ever released mod tools for the PC (which they won't because PC modding is dead, which even Crytek commented on if I remember right) then someone should make a total conversion based on the events proceeding Crysis 1 to basically undo the events of Crysis 2.
Players with rocket launchers and grenade launchers fucking everywhere.
I hate it, who the fuck came up with the idea of putting such weapons in multiplayer.

Crysis 2 had a much more believable world, however, I agree they should have kept the characters from the first.

Yeah and also the fact that the JAW is fucking useless against Ceph Gunships, the Majestic does a better job at taking down one with 6 shots. It's like the only purpose of the JAW in multiplayer is a point-n-click grenade.

Yeah, but damn that island was some of the most fun I've ever had. Crysis was sold as a linear game that allowed you to take whatever path you wanted to get from A to B. Crysis 2 changed that completely and lost it's charm because of it. I loved rolling up into a Korean outpost and stealthily killing every soldier. The gunfights were intense.
I also fucking hated the suit in the second one. It was too streamlined. In the first game you could activate speed mode and run faster than normal without wasting energy. You also simply sprint without having to be in speed mode. Strength mode was awesome because you could activate it when sniping to hold your gun steady and make bullets stronger (how that works is beyond me, but fuck it was cool). I want to be able to control these aspects again. The new suit is just too streamlined for me to enjoy.
Did anybody else stealth their way through CEPH the entire game? :v:
I've had this game for a few months now, It's actually quite fun. I don't really see any kids or any guys raging. (Apart from the rare "wtf, how did u kill me?")
It's not as bad as people make it out to be.
Today's the last of the double XP weekend though D:
Edit:
Did anybody else stealth their way through CEPH the entire game? :v:
Yeah, I did. :D
I was always so scared of the CEPH devastators, so i stealthed.
Then... - LOW ENERGY..
I had a heart attack.

I agree. Crysis's campaign was hella better (maybe because it was the first of its kind you know? Fresh) But you have to admit Crysis 2's multiplayer is hella better. So both have thier pros and cons.
here is a video of directx11 being used in crysis 2 at some nividia conference or something. it is kinda old, but i don't think it has been posted here yet.
