Most likely, don't take my word for it though. :v:
Might I be able to run Crysis or Crysis 2 on this build?

CPU is a bit shit, but a 460 should run it fine.
Besides tesselation and slightly better textures, but barely, I can't ever tell the difference between dx9 and dx11.
And even then, tesselation only seems to make a good difference on bricks, rocks, and statues.
New stuff runs impressively well, better than Crysis i'd say.
Hitting 30s-40s on my shiny new 560 ti.
Finally bought this since the editor was released

Crysis 2 obviously runs better than Crysis, pretty much across the board.

no it doesn't, go play crysis 1 again. it's from 2007, i mean it shouldn't be a surprise that it runs better. and it does
I played Crysis like last week. Framerates were lower in that than Crysis 2 for me. Same with my old system.
Edit: and i should say, using comparable settings.
On my old 4870 system at 1080p on high, I'd get 26-28fps in Crysis, and 38-40fps in Crysis 2, I'm basing this off of fraps benchmark averages I ran before rebuilding my computer. I haven't run the same benchmarks on my new system, but I'm looking at my normal numbers, and they are overall higher in crysis 2.
But when I get home I'll do some run throughs for some numbers.
crysis is no longer playable on my PC, it just lags the crap out

Crysis 2 runs better for me at high settings then Crysis 1 at high.

For me, Crysis 2 is much more stable than Crysis 1. I believe the main reason behind it is the shit ton of foliage and the need for the computer to render more expansive environments.
Yea, I think Crysis 2 is less dynamic overall, not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but that might be a contributing factor to performance.

Crysis 2 high is the equivalent of Crysis 1 low/medium. How can you possibly compare the two?

Yet it somehow manages to look 3x better than Crysis 1's medium settings..
Better, ehh, Cooler, yes. Crysis 2 looks awesome, but I think Crysis looks 'better'

It's all in the lighting, the texture resolution maybe lower but who gives a shit since games are usually played IN MOTION.

It looks better though :/
It looks better though :/
It looks better in some ways. You can't really compare the two games. In crysis you're typically seeing farther out than you are in the second game, but the second game has better lighting, and the first game has better foliage and lots of it and the second game has less foliage and it's debatable whether or not it is worse.
High in Crysis 2 is more or less the equivalent of medium with low shadows and post processing. It looks a lot better but it also doesn't have to render as far or necessarily render as much. So they can pack more things in like higher quality textures and much better lighting without getting a performance hit compared to settings in the first game.
I can not compare high in Crysis 2 to high in Crysis 1. I played through Crysis 1 on high settings only and I felt it looked better than Crysis 2 does on high for me now. So I sort of have to compare it to medium.
Unfortunately I can't even compare what the higher settings are like as my GTX 260 can only manage 25-30fps on extreme and ultra.
Do any of you still play Crysis 1?
It'd be awesome if some of us could play on Mesa online.

I play it occasionally. Not much as my performance isn't....outstanding.
My 570 comes in next week. :allears: Oh boy tessellation and parallax mapping.

Crysis 1 coming to consoles. That's surprising.

And even more surprising, it's being released to North Korea.
Is that newest DLC better value than the first one? What with two new weapons and all.
