Yeah I figured it out. Just "Find a heat source" doesn't tell me much when I'm in a blizzard in the bottom of a valley with no visible way out, and the first hear source is after the cutscene (he usually died before). [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] Not sure if it's just me, or if this game is terrible with directions. I've been on the Deck fighting this big spider thing and all his friends for 10 minutes before I died. The only objective is to destroy it but after 15 Guass Shots, ~20 Rockets, and all my SCAR Ammo, it doesn't seem to be showing any sign of weakness.
If possible shoot him when he grabs you, In the face. On another note, Superhuman warrior isn't too hard for me, so as a challenge i'mma use only a pistol, except for a sniper when i get it, It's too damn fun with a sniper...
Is that map up for download? I guess it's called nature but I can't find it anywhere other than that imgur gallery.
It's a custom map by Rebel117 at Crymod. I don't think he's uploaded it, though; the gallery I linked to was from the 'CryEngine 3 Art Thread'.
So is the installed Steam version required to run the Editor? Changed pc a month ago and havent installed Crysis 2 yet, but the editor is available on the website.
I have a problem, i'm up to the point in the campaign where I destroyed this massive alien in the streets, after killing it it says regroup at the vehicles so I walk to the vehicles (where my blue indicator is) and nothing happens.

I forgot that too.
Press use on the vehicles. I forgot that too.
Yeah I got in it nothing happened [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] let me try again [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] ok I got in, now what?
I suppose the editor can't be run on 32bit systems?
Might be a dumb question: But in the Crysis 2 editor, how the fuck do I get rid of that black and white grid overlay on the ground? I can't find out how :C

Has anyone actually figured out where all Cryteks building props are? I can't for the life of me find any :/
Has anyone actually figured out where all Cryteks building props are? Look in the Brush/Geom Entity section.
http://sdk.crymod.com/display/SDKDOC21/Painting+Terrain
I know how too paint terrain, the problem was that no matter what I did the grid remained ontop of the textures.
Just found this on CryMod. This is someone's very first map: Christ. I can't believe that people were ever saying that CE3 was downgraded.
How the fuck did he get the beach, i can't find any materials with that beachy look and feel.

Ahh, where do I download the Cryengine 3 Sandbox?
Ahh, where do I download the Cryengine 3 Sandbox?
http://www.crymod.com/dm_eds/download_detail.php?id=3
http://www.crymod.com/dm_eds/download_detail.php?id=3
Cheers, Google was trying to get me to license it or some rubbish.
I thought you can import objects from Cryengine 2
Must have been what he has done. Obviously he can't release said map publically since it uses Crysis 1 assets. But he can show it off in pictures just fine if he wants to.
Well couldn't someone convert the assets for use in Crysis 2?
I know how too paint terrain, the problem was that no matter what I did the grid remained ontop of the textures.
Change the layer texture.

How the hell do you apply textures? I have a texture I want loaded but I can't click the apply texture button.
gonna be a dick and post this: random source engine first-map it's more challenging to map in source though (obviously), so if your maps look really good in source, they'll probably look 1000 times better in the cryengine
I can't make heads or tails of this. Is there even any lighting there? It looks like a room but I can't make out the walls. CryEngine is far easier to use than Source, but Source is more flexible if you know what you're doing (AFAIK).
