it looks very similar to me
The building in the Crysis 2 shot is very wavy, a curves around on the side. I'm looking at the Mock up photos on the WTC site, plus there is a tower coming up on the top of it that isn't on there. I have a good eye for Details. The Building in Crysis 2 looks very neat though. Any of the shots in the loading screens when showing south Manhattan there is like nothing there, not even the Fountains, maybe Crytek didn't want controversy or something.
I'm guessing that they wanted to have it in there for realism but they had to change it just enough so that people don't get all over them
Only thing that's different is the edge thing ending near the top instead of at the top
this would be so much better if I could find a stripper model and/or a dance animation
Console players being able to play crysis 1 is no bad thing. It's a way better game.
Console players being able to play crysis 1 is no bad thing. What I, personally, am worried about is the very real possibility that they're going to get a shit version of the game, and I've seen many people who agree with me. Quite frankly, I am not looking forward to the inevitable "Just played Crysis on Xbox 360...why is this game a big deal for PC gamers?" topics and conversations.
IF they optimized the shaders and toned down the textures dramatically on the more inconsequential objects (it's not as if they'll notice, they play games at 720p) it should run OK.
Most of the games they play probably don't even run at 720p.
I have to admit, it looks pretty on Xbox. I heard they were using CryEngine 3 for Crysis on consoles?
It's similar enough to CryENGINE 2 that porting stuff over wouldn't be too much of a hassle. In fact there's quite a few tutorials out there for porting the assets from Crysis/Warhead/Wars into Sandbox 3 on your own. Though as for whether they'll actually port it over I'm not sure. It would kinda make sense as CryENGINE 3 is better optimised than 2, especially when dealing with large maps.

Crysis is truly a gen ahead of what 512mb can handle.
it looks very similar to me
The current Freedom Tower is present just not finished. Perhaps it wasn't characteristic enough.
watching the trailer again, and also 1/4 pointed this out to me. They doing the Crysis 2 stile Nano Suit kinda, almost every shot in the trailer the player is in strength mode, and when armour is on it has the screen effect from Crysis 2.
Why does armor mode keep draining the power? I can understand cloak, because it is active camouflage. But armor should just turn on and that's it. Somewhat based in reality. Likely they did it in the game because people rely on it too much. I always had armor mode on in Crysis and Warhead when I was travelling, just in case. Went into cloak mode when I came across an enemy. I find I'm doing the opposite in Crysis 2. Always moving in cloak mode, even if there are no obvious enemies nearby.
the design changes they made to NS2 were imo utterly retarded, Initially I thought that running dual mode was being able to select 2 suit modes from the wheel to run simultaniously or have an overlap between modes. yeah NS2 may work on a joypad and you can argue that its easier to use but theres no finese or skill involved, with NS1 you had to practice to get the most out of it but in return it made you feel like a god among men, NS2 on the other hand makes you feel like youve just enable Maximum Derp.
Not exactly Crysis 2 related but, http://gamerant.com/original-crysis-psn-xbla-trailer-mole-103508/ Crysis 1 is headed to the Xbox and PS3.

I realized that after posting. Give me clocks.

Talking about that image without foliage, if i had been shot shit loads i'd find myself going into cloak and hiding in a bush to wait for them to give up or regen but from what i see you really can't on the console version as there is no bushes.
I'll buy it.
To be honest i'll buy it too, just to have something half decent on that ps3 i bought for some reason

Maybe even more at certain point.
that looks really good honestly
A CryTek employee on the CryDev forums mentioned that the console version might look "better" (i.e. more natural) than the PC version in some ways due to new lighting methods and such, which I think means they are in fact porting it to CE3. I'm really hoping that means they'll do the same for the PC version source: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?p=845611#p845611

We'll have to see how the final product turns out though. Odd as I feel saying this, I ended up enjoying Crysis' gameplay far more than the visuals, and if they end up fucking with that then all hope is lost.
I want that console version for PC too, but even better of course. The lightning is fantastic.
I personally think the 360 looks better in both, even with the lack of vegetation
I want that console version for PC too, but even better of course. The lightning is fantastic.
its a simple TOD tweak, nothing to get excited about.
Those screens make me want to reinstall Crysis, if anything.
