Odd. I'm not sure why so many people seem to be having issues like this. I haven't had any problems yet. Then again, it may be conflicting with other mods and that's why it's working for me. I'm not even using the AO mod right now, just biomes.

Smaller may be a good idea. How big did you make it out of curiosity? I only walked for about a minute in one direction last night before quitting because of the lag.

And again, my campaign map (and subsequently my construction world) is over 4000x4000 and I'm not having any problems with either. I guess this has me worried that people won't be able to load it when I'm finished.

So I started a new save and during a climb up a mountain I saw a neat opening.
Made of mossy cobblestone. Yeah, I found a dungeon at the START of save.

Well I found part of my problem. The limit framerate option got turned on somehow. Turning it off fixed most of the lag. It's now manageable.
