Does anyone else find it odd that having yourself only halfway or partially submerged in lava damages you more than actively swimming in it or touching a source directly? I've died in seconds when I was only touched by the end of a flow, but spent 10 seconds in a lake entirely made out of lava.
Did notch release a package of all the default textures for modding or do I have to exact them manually?
Sorry to ask but, what is the name of the texture pack? I want that water.
The water is from here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=48884

manually
Wait, not manageable like the lag is still too much?
I meant now manageable, sorry. Major typo. It still does lag as it loads chunks but I think that's because these chunks haven't been loaded before for me.

What's the sand?

What's this line do?
UseDrakonaMarbleMod:true
I haven't messed with that yet. Other than that, the only thing I'm seeing that's significantly different than my current file is the line:
LandscapeFractureVertical:20.0
Actually looking at it, my file doesn't have that line. I think the newest version of the mod change the vertical and horizontal fracture lines to primary and secondary.
how would one get the autocart mod to work

What should I do now? I have a fort, a pool, a lava pool, several portals to the nether, 3 rollercoasters, and several extra buildings for random shit.
I'm just lost on what to make now.
Is there possibly a teleport mod? I would love to explore my worlds more often, but I don't want to run miles between my buildings.

So you're asking how to modify .class files without having to learn how to modify .class files?

Make another fort completely out of Bricks, with a minecart going between the two.
yea p much
You aren't going to be able to do that without knowing how to program in Java.

I'll probably end up putting the spawn in the map proper and connected by portal to the construction area, and then portal it to smaller 250^2 biome-specific areas with that huge one attached just as an option if people want the room.
So here's the $64 question- is it worth having that ambient lighting venting in the floor, or not? People can always play on peaceful to avoid monsters spawning, but I don't know if people want constant lighting that's only from below or not, especially when you're probably wanting an idea of what torch placement to use when you make somethingfor real. I don't build often outside of MCEdit to start with, but I could see using both.
Or that's also an option I guess, having one with constant lighting.
why do i keep having to poop after quitting minecraft
seriously

Hm... Perhaps just making it level and giving players a supply of torches to light it themselves would be a good idea?
Well, guys. I finally (after much delay) mined enough obsidian to make a portal.
I just made it, activated it, and I'm going to go into the deep unknown - THE NETHER
Wish me luck :buddy:
Minecraft has sorta inspired me to learn Java.
