Q: What are fireplaces surrounded by in real life?
A: Stone, metal, or both.
Stupid question: How would one exactly go about installing texture mods? I've been trying to install Frenden's Texture Pack V5 with no success.

1, Drag the skin folder to the desktop.
2, Create a .zip folder on the desktop.
3, Drag the contents of the skin folder into the .zip
4, start minecraft, mods and skins tab, drag the .zip into the window.
Silly sheeps, they cant get down from there.

The last time I tried doing this Minecraft crashed. I'm still just installing textures manually instead.

Fixed.. Seems like I did something aweful and it kept re-downloading the minecraft.jar, deleting all my mods.
Down to my last Diamond Pickaxe.
Not looking forward to draining my Iron Reserves. Pray that I find a diamond vein soon.

If the texture pack isn't set up properly, it seems to cause Minecraft to lock up. Rather annoying. You'd think there'd be some sort of failsafe in place to prevent that.

Except for the one I posted earlier. That was the 1/10. Seriously, the world generator not only spawned a lavafall in the middle of the forest but spawned two trees within the lava pool as well...
I want to make the next thread.

Just to be safe, you should probably make it v47. Easier to keep track of how many threads there have been that way.
