Is there a tool which can tell me how many tracks I have placed? Would be kinda fun to know, but I am sure as hell not going to count manually.
Cartograph creates a log file that tells you how many of each block is in the map. Try that.
When are they going to fix so you can connect rail carts? I want to make a train

thanks.
I just used 128 logs, fell down and died, minecraft crashed when I tried to respawn. Now all the logs/fences I made from the logs are gone for some reason, and so are all of my items. FUCK.
Still working on my shitty tower
I was mining for diamonds. I had found 8 diamonds, about 20 gold, 62 iron and a few stacks of coal. I was in an underground cave and I was swimming up a waterfall. There was a lavafall right next to it. Suddenly I heard sssssssssssssss and the creeper explosion pushed me into the lavafall. I died there. I returned to the scene and recovered 62 iron, 3 stacks of coal, two iron picks, the compass, a bucket of water, 4½ stacks of cobblestone and my 90% used diamond shovel. I lost the 8 diamonds and ~20 gold. Also lost my armour but it was in bad shape anyway.
:argh:
And this is my non-cheating save so I am not INVediting them back in.
Any texture pack anyone can recommend? I don't want anything fancy, just an enhancement.
Quandary texture pack

I use the april version. It doesn't drastically change the look of Minecraft but I think it looks nicer than default.

The Biome Mod is badass:

I just bought this game 3 days ago. I haven't created anything nice like the others in here have.
I set a leaf on fire and created a forest fire.

I might be dumb, but how do I add the textures? I've placed the files in the texture folder, but they won't show up
Don't extract them. Put them there as .zip.
Last I checked it didn't work for 32 pixel texture packs, I may be wrong though. Unless you install them with the high res texture installer.
Even Deadmau5 plays Minecraft! :wtc:

My compact indoor farm
Full harvest yields:
Reeds-16
Wheat-8
Wood(planks)-96
Not much, but all that in a tiny 9x6x6 room.
Woot, CleanCraft got a massive update.
Also, slow thread.
Fiswood, for the first. Envigi for the second.
Late, but these are great ideas. I will probably use these.
Biome Mod is excellent for creating dense, cosy forests. It's nice. Also, is there a mod that will allow me to set my spawn point in game? I'm sick of building settlements only to die and respawn miles away :P
Any idea what part of the save folder is the nether realm? I want to completly generate a new one, as my current one is wwwwaaaayyyyy too small and makes it so I can't make portals ANYWHERE. I just want to delete all those chunks and get them to generate anew.
Here's the plan for it if anyone wants to replicate or modify it:

Key:
Green-Grass
Red dot-Torch
Yellow dot-Wheat
Light blue dot-Reed
Blue dot-Sapling
To plant the reeds you need to put water directly under where you see cobblestone in the pic of the farm.

Could anyone recommend me a texture pack?
Requirements: Must be 16x16, would like something similar to Eld's (His is unfinished), no flats, no painterly, nothing with low sat/grey hues
Anyone know anything that meets those requirements?
Also, what seems to be the ideal setting for Biome size?
Notch NEEDS to fix the grass on the sides of blocks not matching the top it's driving me crazy!
