I did a bit of work once on an Animal Crossing texture pack... if Mr Resetti scares you, then you'd hate my creepers.

I really wish they had come further on the multiplayer server. Not able to smelt iron or kill creatures makes it kind of.. dull. It's fun to dig 4 holes down to the bottom and full it with TNT though. The crater usually end up being beautiful. :buddy:

When me and my brother played on Alpha Multiplayer Server a few days ago, nothing happened with we put iron and coal in the furnace. Has there been a patch or something?

Smelting does kinda work on SMP but it's buggy so you've only got about a 50% chance or so of success.

Last week to be more exact, and the latest version of the server straight from the website. Maybe we just were unfortunate, as Onyx3173 mentioned. We only tried like once or twice with anything that is smeltable, like cubblestone etc.
Actually, the furnace has a very long delay due to a bug in SMP netcode. Occasionally the iron will appear in the furnace a long time afterward, so try checking the furnace again if it fails.

I thought the same thing, I put some iron in the furnace and it wouldn't work, but then I checked it again after a minute or so and all of my iron was smelted.

Lets say we make the exact same thing, but I do mine the normal way and you used cheats.
It's all about the effort, I probably won't take the effort to check our your creations if you don't put it in yourself.
