Yes im late, but this shows the updates to people and not just tell it
Decided to play a quick game to see how long until I could get to the nether.
Ended up getting lost in tunnels after about half an hour and all I could find was diamond. I must have gotten up to 20 diamonds by the end of the hour before I finally found lava. Worst part was, I could save the game :saddowns:.

That does happen to me quite a bit too. There seems to be bigger clusters by lava though.

So far I have found 17 from a single huge cave system, filled with lava.
