Nope. What he meant was the people who updated hey0's mod, hey0 didn't do this update, had made it worse because tons of plugins are broken when they really shouldn't be and everything worked fine with the unofficial update. Or at least that is what I got from it.

However to make it compatible with the pack chooser, you'll actually have to unzip it then go into the folder it unzips into and select everything then rezip it.

Well not 100% but I think that's Notch. Like Nerdy mentioned earlier, destroying blocks is an absolute nightmare. About 3/4 of them take 2-3 tries just to destroy them.

I think the reason Nerdy may be mad is that this update was suppoesd to be the first step in fixing SMP, not making it worse.

No. Notch is awesome. I love him for making this game.
Now the thing I am pissed about is how he is developing his game. It is just bullshit. Example. This update brought "fixes" to boats and minecarts. This was progress and I am happy that notch tried to fix them. What I am not happy about is that I saw no attempt to fix the memory leaks and cpu spikes. These are a lot more important then Minecarts and boats. Hell I am pretty sure people wouldn't mind waiting another update just so they can actually play SMP without major lag spikes and crashes.
Also another example. Halloween update. He sets up a list of things he is going to do for this wonderful update. Biomes, SMP fixes, and a tons more stuff. I am happy to see he is setting up things like this. That was a great moment for notch to get an update out to wow people. But then comes the dead line. Notch finally starts to work on 60% of the stuff on that list but only gets about 80% of them out.
Also another thing that annoys me is him adding new stuff. Yes this sounds odd but come on. The game is in alpha for god sakes. Fix the games old stuff first before adding new stuff that just breaks even more in the end.

I know this game is still in Alpha, but… ugh. I wish it didn’t [i]act[/i] like it was. Sometimes it pretends it’s a finished product, then WHAM! A bomb of an update hits SMP.
Some say we are “Beta testing” it. This is bullshit. Beta tests shouldn’t cost our hard-earned money. I don’t remember in the history of beta testing, of a game/program requiring you to pay for it to “test” it.
And the only reason I paid for the game was when I was still in Minecraft Classic, so I can save my games again.
Still, I also have to thank Notch for making a great, addicting game that in ways I wish I never gotten into it.

No, the mod had broken because of the update. From my understanding, the current bugs (blocks regenerating half a billion times before you can finally get rid of them) is because of Notch's update.

This is why I'm not touching the SMP till at least the beta. I've been playing singleplayer from now on. Mainly because my college internet sucks testicles at the moment and the other is because of glitches like this.

I like the fact that SB&HJ was never really meant to be funny, or even a comic at all. It was just something he probably threw together in 5 minutes for the sake of referencing it in homestuck.
