Tell me about it. I must have spent half a chest of iron so far making my existing minecart system, and I need twice that amount now to make my railstation. Going to take weeks to get enough iron. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] If you use Winrar you can choose to make a zip instead of rar. Just mark the files you want to zip, right click, Add to archive... Then you get this screen: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9583738/Various%20Img/howtozippleasedontbacktracemyname.png[/img_thumb] Choose zip instead of rar, location and name etc, then you are good to go!
god i didn't see that button... Thanks! hurah it works!
[del]Does anybody know the url to the minimap? Not simplemap.[/del] Found it.
Or you could just re-download the Painterly Pack, it's been updated to use the texture pack format.
god i didn't see that button... Thanks! hurah it works!
No problem. I spent time finding that button the first time I needed it as well. I do hope he adds .rar support for texture packs as well, as it seems to be the standard now. I know I rarely see .zip these days. Making the shell of my railstation now. Gonna post a picture when day arrives. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Here it is. After testing out stuff on an invedited different save, I think this is how large it must be. I have added several blocks to each side plus made the walls be double with air between. That way I can use that for redstone wires and other stuff. It will be one floor lower, to house the booster and storage for Station to Fortress carts, and at least 10-20 blocks higher to house the boosters etc. for Station to Wherevertimesfourville (it will have four different tracks leading off to places I will build later). Think I will finish as much as I can with the building before spending hours mining for iron. Been a while since building stuff like this. By the way, and good suggestions for a name for my fortress? You can see it back there. Was thinking of Rift or something, seeing how it is built in a natural rift in the mountain.
Damn, this update, a lot of the modders have updated their stuff to 1.2.2. Only a couple of my most installed mods that aren't updated. :buddy: [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] AO was updated to 1.2.2. :buddy:
I'm still on 1.2.0_1 Need to update soon, but I'm happy with what I have. Would it be worth it? [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] I have no internet on my computer. I update when I go to a library.
Guys, come visit my server: 69.197.189.100 It's up 24/7, just created!
Having your game up-to-date is always worth it.

[editline]11th November 2010[/editline]
Having your game up-to-date is always worth it.
Not ALWAYS, but most of the time, yes.

Can I delete items in chests with invedit?
How the hell do you guys get enough iron to make train systems?
sand? gross.
I thought it looked kinda nice... all my other constructions are just boring stone or cobblestone. I'm not good at making aesthetically pleasing stuff though, so if anyone got any tips, I'd be happy :buddy:
So, can I? Just need a answer.
How the hell do you guys get enough iron to make train systems?
Probably Invedit. That, or alot of cave exploration.
How the hell do you guys get enough iron to make train systems?
Mining. Lots of it. Some people also use invedit, but I like the feeling of digging out everything I use. Or finding. I found a bucket in my one and only dungeon ever on this save, and it made me so happy :3: Clocks for me!

The only abundant materials though are cobblestone, sand, and dirt. Dirt IMO just looks terrible, so I think a mix of cobblestone + sand is good, with a small amount of wood planks thrown in.
Canadian Remembrance Day today, what should i build to honor our greatest men and women of the war?
So, can I? Just need a answer.
Why does it matter, just take the items out and chuck them away.
How the hell do you guys get enough iron to make train systems?
Caves... I actually got 2 blocks of 64 Iron blocks( the ones that need to combine 9 bars ) On my main save. But that save is so old that it crashed minecraft when I try to launch it. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Holy fuck the new minimap is amazing.
Really you have only a few options for building. The only abundant materials though are cobblestone, sand, and dirt. For this station I am using sand, with halfblocks to make patterns. The base is cobblestone though, and I am using wood on the lower maintenance floor. Also melting a lot of stone, so using that for the floor.
Why does it matter, just take the items out and chuck them away.
Crashes when I open that chest.
Crashes when I open that chest.
Load up the map in MCEdit and remove the block.
Load up the map in MCEdit and remove the block.
Or just break the chest and chuck it away...
Or just break the chest and chuck it away...
NO no no no... no That will release the items and cause a save corrupt.
So I have a house with a basement, the basement leads to my mine just a short ways away. It was day so I left my door open. I went down to my mine for some stones from the storage. As I came back and turned the corner to go up my stairs into my house there was a creeper, I ran back as fast as I could but it exploded. Took out a huge chunk of my basement and house. It was still day.
Dammit. The minimap was bound to tab which was my inventory key, so I had to switch it to shift. But now the minimap has been changed to m and I got used to shift. :argh:
uhhhh this isn't what it looks like
Nice to see more updates with more useful fixes, especially concearning multiplayer stuff. Now I just need to figure out how to get the texture pack working that was made for the old way of texturing.
I'm ready!
