Bought minecraft a few days ago. All I can say is, why haven't you guys forced everyone in the world to try this game yet? Its too amazing to not be played. I'm like about to rage because I haven't been playing this game my entire life.

Honestly at this point, I couldn't go back to XP. I have a friend who still uses it and I can never get used to it. (He's also using a mouse while I'm using a trackball and one 1280x1024 monitor while I'm using a 1920x1080 and a 1366x768 though so that could be part of the issue.)

I'd upgrade to Windows 7 but i'm not sure if i can go straight from XP to 7 without some problems

You wouldn't be able to upgrade, it would have to be a fresh install. But if you can back up anything important before hand that's not an issue.

Go to the tech support forum.
Notch NEEDS to add the AO mod in Minecraft and put in a extra graphics option like "Extreme" and with that on it sets the AO on.
