That's the thing about vats. If you miss or something, the enemy will have just as much time as you do to fire back. Theoretically you could take 20 shots at a head and not hit once, the enemy firing back the entire time. It's almost like turn based combat.
Strange. I haven't seen any cases where the enemy fired back and I swear that in the last video, one ghoul stayed frozen in a running animation while he got killed.
Edit:
Oh and if anyone still doubts, I'm getting this game on the very day it comes out. I might even pre-order it. One of the main reasons is that we're practically guaranteed not to have to put up with the kind of DRM shovelled onto games like EA.

Also, on the Fatman: Bethesda have stated that you won't be able to make most of these things on the get-go: you need to find blueprints. What's to say that not many working examples of the Fatman survived the war, but the blueprints did? The only thing nuclear about the Fatman is the ammunition: apart from that, it's as rudimentary as it sounds - it's even described as a catapult.
Besides, I can't imagine there being a microwave 'ding!' on it if it were Army issue, darkly comic or not.
Is it possible to shoot a gun out of someones hand? :v:
Is it possible to shoot a gun out of someones hand? :v:
Surprisingly, yes. You can target weapons (think of it as Bethesda's way of balancing the loss of eye / groin shots) and shoot them out of your enemy's hands if you hit. They might go back to pick it up or resort to a different weapon.
I like Fadeaway, he's like a real life wikipedia. :3:

Yeah, yeah. Totally impartial and never wrong about anything. :v:
:ssh: ;)
It's good. My Live expires a few days before the release :D.
Same. :v:
I need to get my old account fixed up, it thinks it's a gold but it's a silver.
By the way, here's something I'm definitely going to do: grind until I hit level 20, get power armour and a super sledge, then charge a supermutant position alone.

I'm going to steal the Sheriff's hat while he's sleeping.
Can the male characters wear dresses? :v:
I want to run round with a dress and hit people in the head with a bat. :3
I'm gonna go to a town and hit everyone in the face with the power-fist
Good, we're seeing realistic, hopefully possible things to do with this. Plus it's keeping the thread alive.
Quick poll: what are you going to do with Megaton?
Edit:
Personally, I'll take the bomb's primer from Burke, then skip town.
I'm probably going to save them.
I always play the "good guy" when I first play through a game which lets you choose. So I'm gonna let Megaton live to start with.
The explosion looks sick though.
Ha, I'll bomb the town the first time. Then go there. And kill the survivors with a powerfist.

Same for me the second time around, but the other way around. Kill the inhabitants, then get rid of the evidence.
I seriously have no idea whether to make a good guy or a bad guy. Right now, I'm thinking semi-bad guy (not sadist, just trying to make a living) who may get more evil during the game.
Just do whatever you would do in that situation.
As long as your okay with the game judging you when you look at your Karma rating lol.
I want to be a pure good Samaritan, always helping others and having my Karma at max. I get to level twenty, get some of the most powerful weapons available, then systematically go to every camp and city and slaughter everyone inside. If invincible essential NPCs are around, I might have to download a mod to make them killable.
But if I act myself, I'll be a good guy! :crying:
I want mr burkes hat
Just because you have to trudge around a nuclear wasteland fighting off mutants and giant scorpions, doesn't mean you can't look sharp whilst doing it.
...
"Bloody Mess" perk. Jesus fucking Christ, that's all I read people bitching about on the Bethsoft forums. Fucking shit hell.
Edit:
There are barely any essentials in the game. There are, at least, 200 or less (I think) characters in the game.
this doesn't change the fact that essentials will be the ones i want to kill the most
ie tenpenny
Tenpenny's cool. He's an eccentric, mad old man - kind of like Sheogorath. If he is essential, I want there to at least be some kind of cool punishment for trying to kill him.
Like getting thrown off the top of Tenpenny Tower.

i always play sadisticly

or actually killing him, because no one is invincible
Edit:

I am going to disable the nuke and then just go to Tenpenny tower to see their reaction when it doesn't blow up :v:

I doubt EVERYONE is killable.
Oblivion gave you the idea of that everyone could die by your hands.
They couldn't if they were needed, they were merely"knocked out" then would stand up be healthy.

I am going to do this. :v:
Im torn on whether to buy for PC or 360.. PC so far as i think like Oblivion there will be mods. Better graphics on PC, is there achievements on PC? Hope there is, i love achievements :>
Also when i play i don't have to kick my family out of the living room..
What do you think?
Also does this closely resemble Oblivion? But in future, with guns, and better?
Edit:
Also can you playin 3rd person?
