The landscape seems more interesting then oblivions did. Going trough destroyed cities seems very interesting. A good way to find out what nuclear war does to a countryside. SPOILER!! (I THINK) Can't wait. Oh and on one of the signs of the two deasd people outside the vault it says "Let us in motherfuckers!"
So many great games coming out this year... I can't buy all of them, Spore... GTA... Fallout 3... Empires Total War... etc... It kinda makes me sad And I know that GTA is released
I love this.
Empires Total War will be out, hopefully, by February 2009.
Oh, I thought it was coming out this year. Oh well
Oh, I thought it was coming out this year. Oh well
More time for you to earn monies.
I am confused. When is the release date of this game? Also, will there be a demo?
I am confused. When is the release date of this game? Also, will there be a demo?
You could read the first post. There isn't going to be a demo, since the world is so big. Edit: I wonder if some modder decides to make it so that you get to play the full game as a baby...

I might just join the Brotherhood of steel just for the kickass armor and the minigun :ahaw:.

Edit: I wonder if some modder decides to make it so that you get to play the full game as a baby...
Time and time again, the problem if 'too much, too big' has been proved solvable by cordoning off large sections of the game in the full version. GTA does it, Assassin's Creed does it (though GTA allows you to go to these other places, but immediately makes you wish you hadn't tried). Playing as a kid would be awesome: immunity to all attacks and an army of grown-ups to do the fighting for you. Hopefully, if mods make it to Fallout 3, that'll be part of character creation in mods which make you someone other than the Vault 101 Dweller. Edit:
Edited the OP a bit, since Fadeaway's list of improvised weapons is a bit negative. I enjoy the Rail Roader's sound.
I've checked. Believe me, the Fat Man is a weapon which you will need to build, not find (make your own description of it, but the matter stands that is is intended as the 'fuck all' button for boss fights). Also, I suspect the Flaming Sword was in fact a gag weapon made to poke fun at the hardcore fans, so if anything, that shouldn't stay up.
I am confused. When is the release date of this game? Also, will there be a demo?
october 31st for Europe, i'm not sure but I think it's october 21st for america
So where are GTA and Assassin's Creed demos?
There are none, because the developers have flaunted that excuse.

It's like a long baton or rebar-like bar with a handle and soaked in gasoline. I read that somwehere.
And here I was hoping they weren't serious about it.
And here I was hoping they weren't serious about it.
At least it's not a sword that's actually on fire, like 'magically'.
How the fuck does that guy that wants you to blow up megaton offer you the quest right away ? why doesn't he just hold up a sign that says " I need someone to blow up the nuke in this city, any volunteers ? " I just think that's abit unrealistic.
Because you were the only new guy in town that didn't have any kind of knowledge/assocation with the town, which makes you a good target to recruit someone who doesn't have an attachment to it?
I so can't wait untill this is out.
And here I was hoping they weren't serious about it.
I think it looks awesome, look up the top. It has an improvised fuel pack and valves and shit to keep it alight.
anyone realize that in the second pic in the first post that it looks a hell of a lot like HL2 after the destruction of the citidel?
It does as well. But look at my picture, the rock-it launcher is the one with the red and silver vacuum-like thing.
The achievements for the Xbox 360 version are here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/fallout-3/achievements/
Couldn't find this in h main post, sorry if it's there, but does this have a destructible environment?
anyone have any idea or prediction of what the requirements are going to be?
I don't like the way those are designed. Too many bells and whistles hanging out here and there.
They are the homemade weapons, put together from other objects and they are beaten up too so they are put back together etc. I mean, the crossbow-pistol thing on the right has a toy car as the end of it and the wheels support the string. To make a functioning weapon from these parts would require a lot of "bells and whistles" to make a load of initially harmless junk lethal. I just don't get why an oven mitt is on the left. Edit:
anyone have any idea or prediction of what the requirements are going to be?
It's been said time and time again - The minimum is the same as oblivion, the recommended quite a bit higher than oblivion's recommended. Check oblivion's requirements.
I blieve the oven mitt is ethier the inside of the Power Glove (The Face Reconstructer) so It's comfy to wear. Or, It's just for scale and referance.
The achievements for the Xbox 360 version are here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/fallout-3/achievements/
Those suck! It's all "mission title: You have completed *mission title*" ALSO @Ryno. Look above it, that's most likely a flame thrower.
I blieve the oven mitt is ethier the inside of the Power Glove (The Face Reconstructer) so It's comfy to wear. Or, It's just for scale and referance.
No, it's obvious to be used with the flaming sword. Edit: Achievements suck indeed, it's all suff like either "completed this" or "did that 100 times" It's an open world game ffs
