Anyone got a download link for Fallout? (The first one.)
Gametap has Fallout 1 for free.
Gametap has Fallout 1 for free.
How does one acquire this?
By googling Gametap and selecting the first result.
just head on over to gametap and download the client. then when it's all downloaded, run it and look in the free games section. should be under rpg.
where can I find a working trainer for fallout 2?
Is it dodgy though? Because it didn't work last time I got it at underdogs.

Gametap is completely legal.
No, not dodgy like that, dodgy as in "does it have all the right files and stuff"? Because I got it from underdogs and it blackscreened on me, screwed up and crashed a lot.
Yeah its legal. Hell there's even commercials of it on TV.
Oh, well I haven't had any problems with it.
No, I don't care about the legality of it. I mean, does it work? I meant dodgy as in it crashed on me a lot.
It does have this black fog glitch that comes every now and then... I recommend that you see your Pipboy or something to clear it up quickly.
If it comes really often, try closing some of your other programs, they might be the ones causing it.

Seems to be working just fine so far.
Windows XP?
Where can I find a fallout 2 trainer, I tried one but it just makes a sound like an error comes up a bunch of times when I press the buttons. Help please.
Looking at the system requirements it says it'll support a Nvidia 8400. Right? Just confused because under recommended settings the amount of memory the graphics card needs is higher than what the 8400 has.

Is there any difference between humans and zombies in Fallout other than the looks?

What zombies?
If you mean Ghouls, then no. Ghouls are the remainder of a vault of humans. The door didn't shut, and everyone was irradiated. The ghouls are the result.

Now look under minimum spec.

I mean zombies like the one that tries to get into Tenpenny Tower in the gameplay video.
Damn, thought so. I meet everything else so you think I'll get a decrent FPS with everything on low? I got a decent FPS for Oblivion and I think everything was on high.
He is a ghoul, they just call him a zombie as a derogatory term, like calling white people crackers or jive turkeys...
I mean zombies like the one that tries to get into Tenpenny Tower in the gameplay video.
It's a ghoul...a mutant. Something that was once human and now is so radioactive it doesn't need a torch.
Bethesda seem to have revised that part about all ghouls originating from a single Vault: Gob (at Megaton's bar) claims that it's just anyone who found something more adequate than the outside world to hide in, but nothing as failsafe as most of the Vaults.
EDIT:
Like homemade nuclear shelters or the DC metro system.

Would make sense...seeing as vault 12 would have ended up being about as secure as the metro system without its cog door.

That does make more sense actually, because with the just people from vault 12 being ghouls, what about all others who survived the attack but wasn't protected from the radiation.
I personally disapprove of it. One of the unique selling points of ghouls is that as one of them said, they've been around more or less since the bombs fell.
Right now, it seems like a cheap excuse to turn the DC metro system into a zombie dungeon crawl.
Edit:
It also doesn't go very far at all to explain why, assuming ghouls are usually old and brought about within more or less the same time as a nuclear blast, some of the ferals in the underground have drugs like jet and psycho on them.
God that interviewer is so fucking dumb.
"Will you ever meet your father?"
Yeah, ruin the whole game for us.
It's Jeff Keighley!
I saw a thread on xbox.com entitled "What is Fallout 3 about?" so I took the stage, and wanted to have fun. Here is what I got:
Basically, Obama becomes president in 2008, leading to the US pulling out of Iraq, leaving Osama, Obama's secret long lost twin brother free, he gets the smartest Iraqi minds to build a time machine, going back to the 50's. Osama gets the chinese and the russians and the japs and gets them to nuke D.C and other key points in the United States (L.A, N.Y.C). Thus signalling the great war, which led to the US develeping vaults for citizens to survive the nuclear fallout. Years later, in 2227, you, a citizen in vault 101, realizes your father escapes, and you follow him out a bit later (well a few years appearntly). Out of the vault you become blinded by bloomrape and realize realism really is brown and grey, It is up to you to find your father, kill Osama, who is now the time ruling emperor of earth, and ultimately rule the wild wastelands.
Soon after leaving the vault, you run into a man by the name of Freeman, he tells you "...." and you ask him why and he tells you "....". You realize he is useless and leave him stranded in the wastelands. You come into a town by the name of Megaton, and well, blow it up because the inhabitants are mindless zombies who pray to bombs. The final boss is your father, he is mutated from the radiation, and well he got hooked on greenmote. You realize you can not kill your own father, but then Freeman crouch jumps into the fight and impales your father with his crowbar, you, must make the ultimate decision, save your father and kill freeman or escape and find Osama. If you choose to escape, you die from radiation poisoning, because the devs dont want you to play after you beat the game.
Also, Eye of the Tiger plays during the credits.
Wow. Freaking hard decision, but I'll escape :P. Thanks a lot for ruining the story man.
Kinda off topic, I went into Blockbuster and they had a bunch of Fallout posters and a big stand-up promotion thing of a Brotherhood of Steel guy just standing there. I'm able to pick it up on November 5th along with all the posters and promotion items for any-game I want now that they just throw em away.
