Also, did CHina also become post-Apocalyptic?
Nuclear war happened, in the 2077, but the world was timelocked in the 50's. As far as we know, the only survivors are in the U.S.
There are others who took shelter in more creative means. San Francisco was going to be invaded by a Chinese submarine taskforce which submerged until the radiation died down, then the crews repopulated the ruins.
They could be the only Chinese people in the world left you know.
Wouldn't go far enough to explain why I'm finding their assault rifles and cool pistols all the way in Washington DC. I wonder what their army's armour looked like?

Edit:
Wouldn't go far enough to explain why I'm finding their assault rifles and cool pistols all the way in Washington DC. Armour doesn't just refer to power armour. I mean what their infantrymen wore. Edit: There was a war going on, you know. China invaded Alaska, their failings there kind of kicked off the nuke fest.

I am saying that the US was trying to discover the weaknesses of captured Chinese technology so they could better destroy Chinese tech.
I hope they create more shivering isles quality DLC for Fallout 3, like maybe New York City Post-War. None of that Horse Armor bullshit this time around.

How did they become like this? Are they smart? Do they still feel 'human'?
Play fallout 1 or read up the storyline ;)
How did they become like this? Are they smart? Do they still feel 'human'?
Dude, you have to understand that nuclear war broke out like in the 20th century. This is the 21st century, 2200AD or something. There are no aliens, just fuck loads of radiation.
No, ths one:
Oh, that's just Shrek
How did they become like this? Are they smart? Do they still feel 'human'?
uhh nuclear radiation? you're a STALKER fan and you don't know this?
uhh nuclear radiation? you're a STALKER fan and you don't know this?
Actually it had something to do with some virus and a mutated super intelligence and whatever
How did they become like this? Are they smart? Do they still feel 'human'?
A super mutant called master that bio-engineered humans to become "evolved" so that they wouldn't fight, but the rest of what was left of humanity didn't want to become mutants, so they fought back. This is the story of fallout 1. In fallout 2 you need to find a GECK,or a device used to make land fertile. In fallout 3 you are a emo kid trying to find his daddy. Oh, and the world was stuck in the 50's for a hundred years. The world became what the people in the 50's thought what radiation would do to people, instead of killing them, it just mutates them. They didn't invent a transistor so computers are gigantic. Everything is nuclear powered. Just read the freaking info on the wiki.
