Any word on being able to eat corspes?
It is in the stats menu and everything but i have yet to be able to eat a corpse. (I think I read somewhere that it was not in the review edition)
i have yet to be able to eat a corpse.
get crackin

I saw a few videos of what it's like growing up in the vault. It was really cool of Bethesda to include childhood as a tutorial to the game. Also, how big is the map? I'm not concerned at how much content is in the game, I just want to know if the map is more or less the same size as Oblivion's.
Any word on being able to eat corspes?
There is a cannibalism perk that lets you eat corpses to give you back health but gives you bad karma.

But I could be wrong, I do remember an interview where they said they stopped counting because of all the content they had been adding.
There is a cannibalism perk that lets you eat corpses to give you back health but gives you bad karma.
Fuck yeah! I'm going to be a crazy cannibal man! Also, are Action Points still part of the combat system? main thing that annoyed me about fallout one and two, I didn't think they were as the combat is mostly real time, but I saw it mentioned in one of the perks, anyone know?

Looks like you guys just got a custom forum.
There is a cannibalism perk that lets you eat corpses to give you back health but gives you bad karma.
Too bad you can't eat babies :sigh:
Let's see what the OFLC (Australian, whatnot) has to say about that :P
Too bad you can't eat babies :sigh:
I have a mate called Ross, he's going to make a character called "Saint Rozzus" who wears santa clothes and a power fist, and has a belt with children's skulls on. He'll come into every house at midnight once an in-game year and attack the children before running off. (I know half of it is impossible but it's a funny concept)
Am I the only one that can see alot of resembalances of Oblivion here?
Am I the only one that can see alot of resembalances of Oblivion here?
It's the engine, not to mention a few (mostly unimproved or bad) things carried over from Oblivion. Melee combat without VATS works out at Oblivion's combat system with critical hits, crippling strikes and dismemberment on what can seem like totally random areas.
Does fast travel work like the original fallout where you have a dot moving across the landscape then you can choose the part of the place you want to go or is it like oblivion?
Does fast travel work like the original fallout where you have a dot moving across the landscape then you can choose the part of the place you want to go or is it like oblivion?
Another thing they carried over from Oblivion. Fast travel is instant, no random encounters along the way either. You also start with no locations marked down on your map, not even the big cities. That changes either by exploring the wastes yourself or getting the Explorer perk, which shows every overworld map marker.
i do like that you have to explore to fast travel, but that perk sounds too tempting
i do like that you have to explore to fast travel, but that perk sounds too tempting
Haven't touched it yet. I'm hoping that it just marks the locations down, but not as explored (i.e. you can't fast travel to them until you walk there).
There was a point in oblivion where I didn't use fast travel and wake up at 6 in the morning and travel and eat food etc like real life. I like to geek out on that kind of thing.
Hell yes eating corpses. On my second playthrough I will make a shady, stealthy, dark bad karma cannibal. FUN!
Explorer perk just puts markers on the map. You still have to go there to fast travel to it afterwards.
